It took me a few tries to figure out how to get the cats to follow me. When I play with my cats at home, I wiggle the laser pointer all over the place and it really gets their attention. These cats did not do that. I finally figured out to let the laser rest a second and have them pounce then follow. And then I was finally able to win. Sometimes it was difficult to get the cats to separate, but overall it was a really fun experience. Nice entry!
Thank you! One of my cats likes the wiggling laser pointer, the other likes it still. Guess which was easier to code? :)
Really nice game! Congrats, mate. The audio was sometimes a bit laggy, but otherwise it was a great experience. I love the idea.
Thank you!
I love the concept, this is so original! I was very curious about your game when you posted dev updates on the discord. It was fun to play and I really enjoyed the original controls!
As a non English native speaker, there are some times I didn't fully get the instruction and I wish there was some way to have it said again, because the text part doesn't always give a hint about what modules to activate.
Thank you!
The correct buttons are highlighted on the screen. You can play the game with no sound and still succeed!
Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't notice that!
I should have made it more obvious
I enjoyed having an auditive HUD. It's not really usual and it makes the game more immersive (especially this one, with its story and context). At first it was quite difficult for me to understand the gameplay, but at the end of the simulation I was really having fun! Nice art and concept!
Thank you for the kind words! I usually work solo, but I was very lucky to have a sound designer and voice-over artist for this jam!
This is a really fun time! I especially love all the sound effects and voice acting; they really help shape the game's personality! It took me a bit to figure out how to get the cats to actually follow the laser pointer, but once I did, I really started getting into the gameplay. I also especially appreciate the adjustable game speed!
Really nice work!
Thank you for the kind words!
Fun and unique idea! I was looking forward to playing this after seeing your progress updates. The voice acting is a nice touch.
Good work!
Thanks for the kind words!
Cute but the cat doesn't sleep enough in my taste, imagine with an endurance metter for the cat to fell asleep if you use the laser around too much. Very fun and nice design
Thanks for the feedback. The cats are hard to wake up, so I wanted to keep sleeping to a minimum.
Cute
Thanks!
