I had a blast playing this once I figured out how the net/scoring worked. I found it hard to see the net at times but I I liked the mechanic of chasing it and timing my jumps correctly. Gave me a lot of Ecco the Dolphon vibes, which I'm all about. Beautiful artwork and good sound design. Really well thought out and nice execution. Great work!
I really like the style on this, that 2.5d is super vibes. I found it kind of hard to see the proper items, though, like, maybe adding some outline to them would make them stand out a little.
Besides that, really good work! Congrats!
I enjoyed the art style and it was fun to zoom around as the swordfish, especially liked the jumping, but I found it hard to actually grab items with keyboard controls unless I stopped and carefully aimed
good stuff
Lots of fun, very original and nicely done! Awesome job!
WARNING: This game is super addicting. I really love the art and sounds as well as the 2d+3d style It really gives depth for the background and the fish skewering ability is amazingly fun . I think you should've made the fish hitbox a little larger because they where sometimes hard to catch but overall you've done an amazing job.
Very good job, nice art and sounds, and a solid mechanic. Also the controls with keyboard feels to faster, maybe its made for a controller but i dont have one.
You did a good job on the art, and the gameplay was solid.
This is a fun game! I really enjoy these simple yet engaging arcade-type experiences, and I think you really nailed that vibe here. I also really like the art direction, especially with the color choices! Actually skewering the fish felt a little difficult at times due to the speed of the sailfish and how precisely you need to line yourself up to skewer the fish. I'd recommend either slowing down the fish a little (not too much, because I do like the sailfish's speed), making the hitbox of the fish's nose a bit larger, or making the skewerable area of the fishes larger (maybe some combination of all three).
Overall, nice work!
really neat visually and conceptually! I think the objects ur meant to collect being on a separate plane made them feel like you weren't supposed to interact with them at all which was a lil weird at first but still neat game
The way you moved around in the water was very satisfying to me! Also loved the use of sounds in the game
Cool vibe and aesthetic on this precision dropoff game. My best score was 637 (I challenge anyone to beat it and post your screenshot here!).
Enjoyed Shish Fish. Perfect length for a jam game. Not to mention, one of the best Controls screens I've ever seen.
Absolutely lovely.
Fun arcade game, great art, camera and shader use, also the SFX and music as well as the cut off out of water was really nice. I think some smooth acceleration to the movement would boost the control feel. Loved the idea and enjoyed the game! Good work :D
Not sure if this was intended, but the sailfish is too fast to aim, so I just ended up swimming randomly. Loved the visuals though!
Really lovely! Saw your progress in the discord and it has really nice sounds and animations, gives it its own style and feel. you can kinda clip through the terrain underwater in the bottom right fyi, very minor, but had a great time :)
