Very nice art and music!

I found it funny that Mint falling behind was a game over condition. For a moment I thought it was a 2 player game and I had missed Mint's controls. XD

I feel the chain reaction theme is a bit weak, though, with only the speed boost being the single chaining element.

Nevertheless, good job, team!

Thanks for the feedback! I'm sorry the chain reaction mechanic wasn't made clear, I'll expand on it a bit:

You must chain together successful obstacle avoidance (jumping and sliding) as well as the speed boosts in order to get into a favorable position to win the race. If you chain just avoiding the obstacles with no speed boosts, you lose. Vice versa, if you blindly get every speed boost and end up so far on the right of the screen, you have less time to react and thus also lose. So you're essentially chaining together 2 different elements of individual chain reactions!

That was fun!The music, art and sound effects  are amazing and it all fits together, very polished game! Doki's scream is a the cherry on top, because of that hitting obstacles doesn't bring frustration even though I'm losing:D

This was a fun, simple little entry with excellent, distinctive spritework and music. I'm not quite sure how it fits the "chain reaction" theme? Some of the hitboxes feel a little wrong, but Doki being hit by them is very funny, so that's not a big deal.

Developer

Building up the speed with the boots is our chain reaction, also thanks for the feedback on the hitboxes!

Ohh, I think I may have completely missed that mechanic!

So much fun, I love that it's so easy to pick up! Made me wanna just keep running and running. The sprites were so cute!

Thanks for playing!

Really well made spritework and music! Simple and easy to pick up. It all meshed together nicely.

I LOVE UMA MUSUME

I really loved the spritework and music!  The hitboxes can feel a little weird at times and I notice a bit of jitter on the obstacles which may be fixed by adjusting where their position is updated in the game loop code.  I also wasn't sure if I was supposed to keep Mint moving at the same pace as me because of the game over screen when she falls too far behind.

But other than the gameplay, the art and music is pretty top notch!

We've been able to fix the mint bug since then, thanks for letting us know!

Doki's horse girl arc begins

Nice art and sound design! I love the variety of obstacles but it felt like some of them (or maybe doki) had janky hitboxes and I'd get hit when it looks like I'm clear over/under an obstacle

very cute!! :D i love all the different obstacle variations. nice work!!!!

Loved the music, loved the animations!  Racing against Mint was a nice touch.

I found that getting too many speed boots resulted in not having enough time to avoid obstacles, which was a shame, but otherwise, quite fun.

Thanks for the feedback Nexi!

If Mint's AI also simulated that, though, it would serve as a nicely intrinsic automatic game balancer, since the further ahead you are, the harder the game gets, and vice versa.

I really like the animations in this! I did have one problem where it seemed I beat mint so badly the game refused to end when I went over the finish line lol
