Fun concept, but I think the difficulty curve is really holding it back as I wasn't able to progress past the third round on any of my runs. I'd be curious to see how it'd play differently if I could choose new plant locations at each round or if I was rewarded with more money to make purchases when in-between rounds as I often found myself overspending at the beginning and then not having enough to replenish my cards at the shop. I found your art to be great, and instructions were really clear for how to play. With some more tweaking and re-balancing I think you'd have something really special on your hands. Thanks for making and sharing your game!

Love the concept of the game! I can see this being really addicting once some of the balance issues with money as mentioned by others get addressed. Really liked the art & atmosphere too. Great work!

As a fan of originak PvZ i really liked this. some areas need work as stated below but none the less it was super fun

So, this game has a very neato concept. Plants vs. zombies but more roguelike and intense. The game has a good amount of complexity to it, but I feel like the difficulty is a bit off the charts. Rather than having an inflated health bar, I would like to see more money coming in, because by god I was barely getting anything. Like, I would have loved to see the bamboo cannon  but kept dying before I could afford it :(. The idea is nice, I do just think the difficulty needs to be tuned down a small bit and the coin drop rate needs to be tuned up a big bit.

Still, great submission to the jam! This is one of the more fun games I've seen so far :)

Pretty cool take on Plants vs. Zombies! At first I was a bit confused since there wasn’t much feedback showing whether I had actually selected a card or not, and the tutorial screen also felt a bit complicated. it could be designed in a simpler way.
With clearer visual feedback, the gameplay could feel a lot smoother. That said, the cards themselves explain their functions pretty well. I also really liked the Undertale-like art style, and the calm background music was super nice too.

I like the idea: it's Plants vs Zombies, but with new two-sided gameplay. The descriptions of cards help a lot: for example, under the tulip it's stated that it's most balanced option - and it really helps to play the game and start getting progres.
Another thing i like is the variety of plants.
About the suns resource - because i was always low on money, i had only a few cards and suns are nearly never exceeded (therefor the meta for me was to buy tulips and no sunflowers).
The art style gives Undertale vibes.
Good progres!) It would be nice to see you on other upcoming jams!

I’ll be honest, the balance is a bit broken((( I played three times, and in the first and second runs, I couldn’t buy anything and died by rounds 3-4. In the third game, I had A TON of money and a full map. But it’s fun watching my plants. Another issue: I couldn’t figure out how to dig up plants.

Thanks for your feedback ;). Yes, I know that the balance is a bit broken, is so random but I think this make the game a bit more fun. Thanks for playing and I will try fix it💪💪💪

Thanks for playing my game. It's a clone of the original Plants vs. Zombies, but with a distinctive twist. The five days I've been working on this project have been pretty tough. I'm 14 and still a bit of a novice, but I think the result is good.

Advice: There may be bugs or imbalances with the plants and enemies, but I hope you still appreciate the game!

Controls:

Move camera with left mouse click, and scroll in mouse to change zoom

For plant a plant, you have to select it of your deck, and then clic in the garden grid to plant.

You can buy cards in shop, but you have to have enough money( you can collect killing enemies)

Sometimes the game can be very difficult, so you have to learn to use plants combos: For example, use a Captus like a shell to protect a gun-plant (like tulipan o a trowh-plant) and kill the enemies

Each card plant has a "Sun price" and stock. You can get more suns planting sunflowers. For get stock, buy card in the shop with money.
