This is a pretty solid game, but there’s a few flaws that really hurt it. The controls feel really janky before you get used to them, and once you do get used to them, the game is too easy; as mentioned by others, there’s no difficulty scaling. I also found the music quite grating. I like the idea, though — maybe this could be nice in a rhythm game format.

Developer

Thanks for the review! I do agree there should be more variation in the music along with the games difficulty itself. Thanks for playing!

it would not run in the browser.

im using brave 1.81.136 for 64-bit windows

Developer

Nice art and interesting music. it lacks some progression and gets a bit repetitive soon. but well done!

Developer

true, thanks for playing!

A cute game, the art and idea is quite nice. The main problem (other than the web build not working) is that there is no real difficulty scaling as far as I can see. There should be more and more enemies as time goes on. There are some other lesser problems that should be also fixed, there should be some sort of title screen, preferably with a tutorial or just controls (the z on the itch pages really looks like an s), holding down z is way too overpowered, the enemies hitboxes are a bit too small. These all are easy enough to fix and then you would have a pretty good game. Also

Developer

thank you for playing and providing constructive critique!

Unfortunately the Web build isn't working.

Developer

Fortunately, the windows build should. Very sorry for the inconvenience

I tried to run on my PC, but Windows antivirus flagged it. I wasn’t willing to ignore it, sorry. Maybe next time do all of your iteration on the love.js build, so it doesn’t bite you last minute.

You could consider posting a video of you playing or something to the game page so people can at least check your game out. I’d like to see it!

Edit: I’m stubborn and tried again. I was able to play it by downloading Love2d and running the .love file. It’s too much tbh :p

As for the game, I like the art, music and controls. The twin switching mechanic is interesting. It needs scaling difficulty - it’s way too easy. Nice work on getting this submitted. Maybe now that I have Love2d I’ll build something with it!

Developer

thank you VERY MUCH for going through all that and playing my game!, I'm glad you ended up liking it, I do agree that the game does need more difficulty/content, and a proper web build so people can actually play it without having to go through all that trouble lol

i cant wait to see what you'd make in love2d, its a really good framework!

Developer

web?

Will try to give this a run on my PC later, but unfortunately the web build isn't working here for me either and will need to skip for now. Looks pretty cool from the screenshots at least!
