I found the quantum theme really creative and everything just flowed so smoothly. The art, BG music, and the quirky text whenever you fall just made this experience much more immersive and cohesive - the atmosphere just was so vibey I loved it. I instinctively always used space to jump up though, but got the hang of it after a while LOL
Thank you so much mkzl, I really really appreciate your encouragement! And I’m very happy that you noticed the quantum theme, I was pretty pumped when I came up with it :). This comment truly made my day :D
Lol, I had a friend suggest I add the spacebar too… if he had suggested it to me before the jam was over, I might have added it.
Cute game!
Heyyy, thank you frenchcoke! Same to your game!
This was so cute and an excellent platformer-- I found it a lot easier to have one hand moving the little guy from left to right and my other for jumping and shifting
Thank you so much for your kind words! I was trying out a more playful style, so I’m glad it rubbed off the right way :)
That’s actually a clever strategy. I had never considered that someone would use a mix of WASD and arrows, but I’m very glad you found that easier! Kudos to my brother for suggesting I add WASD.
Interesting game!
Thank you! Same to you, yours had a very cool concept!
Great rage game. At least, I can only assume my rage was intentional.
Never really seen anything as cruel as a probablity based failure in a platformer :D
But yeah, great execution! My small brain never figured out the gravitons though...
Oh, crap, I’m so sorry! It wasn’t intended to be a rage game, so I’m sorry your experience was negative… I probably could have come up with a better way to implement the prerequisite :D
If you get close enough to the gravitons, they’ll pull you. In the graviton level, you need to double jump up to them. Sorry I didn’t make that clear enough 😅
Oh no no no, don't get me wrong! I had fun! It wasn't negative experience at all :)
The slidiness made it really hard from the very first level, which is what gave me the rage game feel to begin with. Didn't mean it was bad in any way!
Ok, I'll have to try the graviton level again, didn't have much time to play around in the first testing of each game!
All in all, I actually did mean that it was a great game :)
Sorry I misunderstood - thank you for your kind words! I genuinely appreciate your feedback.
I’m still learning how to build physics engines, so I’ll make sure to add more friction on the tiles next time ;). Again, thank you so much for your feedback and your encouragement!
