Very fun and simple. Very good, maybe you should make the enemy colliders smaller and slow down the creation of enemies at the beginning so the game lasts longer. Fixing that would make it a great game.

As far as first game jam submissions go this is a solid game, very simple yet fun gameplay with easy to understand game mechanics and responsive visual feedback, good job bro three cheers.
P.S please try my game
A great example that you don’t need complex mechanics to make a game fun! Really cool for a first jam!
Some subjective feedback: if the dash followed the ball’s velocity vector, it might feel even more fun.
Thanks for the game!
P.S. I love the ability to move the ball down, not just jump!
Great first jam game. Simple yet replayable game loop. Could have benefited from some more visual juice, but that's something cool you could apply to your next one!
What was your reason for putting dash on "N"? feels like a very strange key to have to press for a common game function at least on QWERTY keyboards.
hahaaha the N bind well when im playing on a NES emulator with keyboard i half the time use WASD move Dpad and N for B and M for A the other half i use Numpad 0 and numpad 3 so i just automatically thought it would be a good idea now seeing it Space or any other key near WASD would of been a better choice
surprisingly addictive lol, my highscore is 1141
game play was good maybe make the character and enemy collider smaller, this is technically cheating for the player but it makes it feel more fair to the player, most games do this
the art is the worst aspect ofc but gameplay and sound design aren' t that bad especially for a first game jam
the important thign is that it was somewhat fun, which is hell better than half my game jams lol
Hi there! I wanted to say - great job on your first game! You have a really nice core gameplay mechanic, and it's a huge accomplishment submitting something complete, so that's really great! I think you should definitely stick with it and keep going. While you're endeavoring to improve your skills as you mentioned in the game's description, each game, just try to focus on improving one aspect, or learning one new area. For example, maybe next time you try to add animation, like a stretch when the player dashes. Or maybe you try dabbling in art, etc. Anyways, be proud of your accomplishment! Good luck
The game is fun, but here are some points I would like to know/share.
How am I receiving damage?
And instead of the dash only being left and right, the dash should be performed in the direction the player was moving!
By all means, great concept, I see this as only a prototype, but you could turn it into something as cool as samurai slashing through enemies!
Since its your first time making a game for a jam, i would say i am impressed you made this.
I love the sound effects and the hit animation.
However, let me give you some recommendations:
You can use Unity's particle system for effects and play them
Trust me, not only would it make the game more engaging and look good.
for the menu or background, make it look good by making building or creating any drawings you want. This adds character to your game. Lastly, add a song or music to your game. If you cant create music, then use SUNO AI to create fire musi,c and its free.
