Another decent shooter built with the NES layout, nice job.
P.S please try my game
Thanks for playing, btw we already voted all submissions. I liked your game :)
At first, I wanted to say that the graphics and fog created a creepy atmosphere, but it turns out the game is more than it seems at first glance. I got a bit stuck trying to find the last duck out of three, but overall I enjoyed it!
PS1 graphics?
You have my attention
After day 1 it does start getting gloomy, which is:🔥
Oh man, you know how to get my attention, that kind of liminal feeling, this fog all over the place, the ambience, the PS1 style. The take on controls for a 3D-setting is unique, especially when you know that there was a limit of only 6 buttons. It will take a special place in my heart. <3
Thank you very much for such a nice comment, we are happy if we could make you happy <3
I like this, really unique take on Duck Hunt!
The low-res graphics with the fog is nice, I also quite like the ‘Slenderman’ vibe it gives off after Day 1.
The news clipping was a nice touch - I thought it implied something about our protagonist 😅
As another commenter mentioned, the player speed does feel a little slow, and the map is quite large - I got stuck finding Home 😂
Overall this is a fun entry - if you continue with this after the jam I could see YouTubers playing this - it’s right up that alley :)
Thank you for your nice comment ❤️ After the Jam I will continue working on this project and fix the slowness and map issues.
Please keep me updated :)
Super immersive. The ambience is really nice and the locating the ducks by sound is a cool feature. Old school FPS depth fog added to the game a lot too.
Sadly I think my first run bugged out and a duck ended up outside the map because it was somewhere with very rough terrain and I got too close to it without being able to see it. Had loads of ammo just could never find it to catch it.Never found it again (the last one).
While a map would have been maybe too much because of inputs: either a compass (realistic for someone out in the wilds to have one.) or some kind of rotating minimap would have been cool, both just as a UI on the screen. Even just for orientation. I know there was a map in controls, but all I was looking for was a way to orient myself in the world and remember, hey X is at the north edge of the map, X is to the south.
Thanks for playing❤️
Sorry about the buggy duck, I'll be working on the bugs after the Jam period ends. Also, thanks for your thoughts on the compass mechanic, I'll definitely add it!
No problem and thank you for trying my game too! 💛
I love the feel! The fog and every detail in forest makes it an immersive experience!
Thanks for playing ❤️
Visuals are great and atmospheric, but man... these ducks. Who trained them? I got 5 and 6th dig into the mountain!
And yes, to be honest, I'd kill for a map in a game :)
Some day I will find the sixth one and reveal the missing teenagers mystery
Thanks for playing, we were actually going to add a map but due to the NES Controller theme, we didn't have enough inputs. So we added it as an image to the game page, under the Controls section.
Sure! Understandable :)
Thanks for the game!
