Description
Hii, I'm new to this jam. I wanted to make a lot of stuff, but this is all I could make. I used steel drums for that "traditional" summer sound.

Is nice and chill, surely fits the theme. verygj

Nice pop-like progression, it's simple and light (not a bad thing) but in that simplicity you've communicated the theme very well. I was perhaps expecting a bit more of a backbeat, cross-stick on the snare perhaps like you used for the count-in? (maybe they were there and just a bit quiet in the mix?)  Just an observation, my expectations are just that haha and I like having my expectations subverted!... it worked perfectly fine with the hi-hat accents, especially for a shorter piece which wasn't looking to build to something bigger 🙂 Perhaps if this had been extended further then a little more percussion would have been brought in for the next go-round. The chords at the end were a nice unexpected change also. Nice work 🙂

Well constructed , for a beginner-tier submission this was right on the money.  I'm a bit of a rebel so take me with a grain of salt, but you definitely understood the assignment and executed on it properly.

Gave you an itch follow, if you like the thing(s) on my page(s), consider doing the same.

Cheers!

Nice melody and cool contrast at the end — it sticks! The mix is smooth, and that chord progression gives it a classic pop feel. What software did you use?

I used Musescore 4. Its quite painful when editing dynamics and velocities but I managed to make it work. Thanks for the comment!
