The music is really dope! I don't like the shooting mechanic at all. I find it hard to aim properly. I wish the killdozer moved faster.
Intro got me hyped. But there is that 2 different music playing together when the secretary came in.
The camera or perhaps the aiming mechanics is really confusing. If you want us to shoot in face direction, then a top-down perspective would be great and kind. As for the killdozer, it does not damage the enemies, just pushing them. Maybe it was not completely coded yet. Even then, it would seem overscoped to add it. It might be better if we ride and control the killdozer instead, now that is gonna be fun.
That was fire. Very funny and interesting set up moving both the bulldozer and the guy. Giving the soldier a camera that follows behind them the whole time and maybe a different key to shoot with. I don't have three hands. This jam submission has legs to build on.
it's a good idea to control both the soldier and the dozer (I didn't really know what to do with it, but it was nice, and I like the idea of controlling two things at the same time).
but I must say: it's a bit counter-intuitive the shooting system, like, you control the camera with the mouse, but the player will always shoot the way he is facing, so its kind of hard to aim.
Anyway, I know nothing about programming 3D, so I respect that!
It's a nice idea, and destroying buildings with the killdozer is very satisfying, it's just a shame it couldn't also kill zombies or break ammo crates (I ran out and couldn't get any more because you need ammo to shoot the crates!)
The voice acting was surprisingly good - was it AI? I know AI content is technically not allowed, but I'm never sure if that applies to voice samples (imo AI voice should be allowed - it's not like you can be expected to hire a professional actor for a game jam!)
It also seemed that the steering for the dozer was backwards?
I’ve used online text-to-speech programs to create the voices, and those have been around for a long time the first ones go back to the 1960s. But I know what you’re talking about, in recent years, AI voice cloning has become popular. It uses existing recordings of a person’s voice to generate new speech that sounds just like them, so you can make that voice say almost anything, it pretty cool and super funny like making mr beast say anything you want.
hope it works on low-end pc's i was trying to make sure it runs smoothly
