Amazing concept, a blast to play through.
Did you define variables on the clothing choices for the subsequent compliments and survival choices? Super cool concept, worked really well. Also very polished UI and implementation, really liked the slider for tonal hues.
The game looked and played super neatly for the short development time, very impressed.
The hitbox was a bit short, noticeable when trying to place shoes/hair but very minor detail. Also the game could benefit from a few more tracks. Great visuals especially on having multiple backgrounds and the screen elements in two formats. Having the achievement tracker and screenshots (although this once triggered on accident while typing my name?) was also neat. Loved the PC presentation.
Funnily enough I picked the all the sweet syrups options which ended in the "I worry for your mental health" line, great irony. Good replayability as well with the various paths, although they only seem to be fluff text changes.
Had a super fun time! Will be replaying in the future for sure
I love the visuals and dressing up the character! The color slider is very well done, especially for skintone :0 It's also cool how to outfits affects the story/right choices!!
This was really fun to play and I was not expecting any horror twist at all, it was fun to plan my outfit for the next attempt and try to get the awards
Love the visual style of the dress up segment, with a bit of a different pose than we usually see in dress up games, especially allowing for some nice long hair variety.
After a couple plays I understood the logic of the game and how to get all achievements. Going through all the clothing options to get the achievements was a grind, even with RenPy's fast forward options. I persisted because collecting them all was the jam theme, but it felt pretty unrewarding.
Overall, aside from a few UI issues, this felt pretty polished and I was impressed with the amount of content and story completeness, nicely combining the dressup game and the horror visual novel aspect.
The false sense of security the dress-up segment gave me made me forget the name of the game lol.
Dress slayed, trust betrayed. 10/10

As someone who likes to play dress up games and visual novel games, I really love the theme of your game!!:D I also really like the fact that the player's choice of clothing at the start actually affects the outcome of the endings that you get. I think it's really creative, I definitely didn't see it coming and was just having fun customizing my character XD
Only issue I encountered is the hitbox of the shoes and hair placement. At first I was struggling to figure out how to put the shoes on for a hot minute. But I saw from the other comments that you're already planning on fixing that so good luck:D Also another thing I noticed is when I changed my hair color to something on the lighter spectrum (ie blonde), you can see the thin outline of the base bald head showing. Overall, really great work^^
Thank you! I believe you may be placing the shoes outside of the hitbox. It seems I made it a bit small so you need to place everything on the middle of the character rather than on their feet or head. I'll be fixing this once edits to entries are allowed though!
It's exciting to see a horror-themed submission to the jam!
The entire game interface is a very creative re-imagining of the standard ren'py interface.
I like the way the dress-up screen was put together, but I do wish the hitbox for the draggable area was highlighted in some way. I initially tried to drag the items directly to where they would appear on the character, and found that neither the hair nor the shoes were recognized. It seems as though the actually hitbox for draggable items is somewhere in the middle of the character's body?
Otherwise, I thought the dress-up was well-integrated with the game's themes! On a personal level, I appreciate the use of a dress-up game mechanic as a clever inversion of the "what was she wearing" trope- emphasizing how clothing can enhance agency/mobility. Even with the heavy themes aside, it's a cool way of making clothing choices have narrative implications.
Thank you for such a thoughtful and kind comment! I agree, I made the hitbox a little strict so I'll definitely be fixing that after the jam so that people can put on the shoes and hair more intuitively. It's always so disheartening to see how clothes are used as an argument against victims of any sort of altercation, so no wrong clothing choices here, we dress how we want!!
I liked this a lot! Super cool UI, fun story, and it was cool choosing your outfit and having that affect the final outcomes.
Thank you! I went back and watched your stream and had a great time! Love goth girl mc heehee
The game was so excting and I was surpised how important it is how my character dress. I needed serveral attempts until I could survive.
Thank you! Yes, that was the goal hahah! I wanted to make every dressing choice have weight, and while some paths are definitely a leap in logic, it was fun adding rewards and consequences >:))
I was so excited to finally try this game after looking at the discord server all week! The game does ambience very well. The style is so good and the dress up aspect of the game is really amazing. This is a crazy amount of high quality work to do in so little time. Great job!
Ah I'm honored! Thank you so much! I really pushed myself to make everything custom so I'm that much more fond of this game than usual, even if it's a little rough around the edges lol :)))
I love the game art and audio, The story and customizable character part, they are all amazing, I just dont understand how does the achievement work, Its a fun game dressing up. Anyway Good work and great job :>
Thank you! The achievements work by the player making the correct choice in the visual novel portion that correspond to your clothing options. If you make a choice that matches with the clothing item being tested, you'll get an achievement. Every clothing item can be survived in!
This game was so much fun! The story was absolutely amazing, the art style is so cute and I love the GUI & backgrounds! <3
Thank you so much! I had a lot of fun doing a simple artstyle this time around :DD
