- This is a really interesting concept for a game!

not sure if I fully understood what was happening but it seemed interested and the feel/FX were nice
I really like the core concept here, though I found it difficult to figure out what I was supposed to do, and ultimately felt a bit limited by the keywords. Obviously doing proper sentiment analysis (not just keyword-based) would be ideal, but for a game jam I think this illustrates some interesting possibilities for a game like this.
A future version of this with better sentiment analysis and maybe specific prompts for both content and overall tone, could be pretty cool.
The corruption aspect was especially interesting. I like the idea that if you hit a certain note too much, there’s a kind of knee-jerk reaction that forces the story in the other direction. Especially if you were trying to meet a certain length/content/tone for a given piece, I could see that being a unique negative feedback element.
This is probably the most creative submission on here. Great work! However, as someone else said the game can be cheesed by just spamming keywords.
Thanks! And you're totally right. I was hoping to have the final papers saved as a kind of record for how creative your writing is, and maybe some sort of sentence structure analysis for a future update?
I had a lot of fun with this jam so it could totally become a longer term project with stuff like that.
Clever concept! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a game quite like it.
It's a very interesting concept, it took me a few tries to realize that if I sat there, it would tell me some of the keywords. I found when I was focused on writing a story I'd run out of green bar way too fast, but if I just typed keywords, I could fill the bars. It would be pretty cool if randomly based on how full your bars were if you're text would just be hijacked completing your sentence.
Ooh wait that's a super cool idea!
I love the concept of the corruption being somewhat chaotic, it makes so much narrative sense.
