- The music was really nice and the gameplay was understandable and interesting! I think some graphical polish or sound effects could have gone a long way.

cool card game idea! would love to see the art direction
Ooo this was fun! Hope you polish it post-jam, I'd love to see some new cards
Took me a bit to get the hang of it, but found it pretty interesting by the end! I liked having the choice between the two different decks, it really gave a sense of control that I often find lacking in other card games, while still keeping the randomness factor.
Obviously some better visuals would have been nice, and there were a number of situations where the UI seemed a little buggy, but nothing that prevented me from progressing.
Overall, though, nice job!
Love that this is a video game version of a card game. I think it's really neat you both made the card game and the video game version of that card game.
Great work! Pretty much just echoing what foolofatom said: the music was great, the mechanics were engaging, and the AI was very competent. The only thing I would add (on top of graphics) would be a strategy guide of some kind. This is a very complete and engaging game for the amount of time you had to work on it.
Great work on a card game in such a short amount of time.
Music is pleasant.
The controls tab in the menu helped me get going quickly. Controls felt very intuitive, clicking on a card to see it's description.
I liked the card animations and shake.
The AI felt engaging to play against- I lost the first time.
Having two decks where you have to balance resources fit the theme very well. I found myself focusing on managing corruption and ignoring the soul points mostly, since there's always an abundance of them. I was top-decking from destruction most of the time.
The game’s model seems solid. It would need a lot more eye candy to really be engaging. Card graphics, obviously, but also simple things like a filling bar next to the soul and corruption points, to give a more visual feel.
The gameplay was fluid and smooth! The only note I would have on the gameplay is expanding potential cards, and since many of the cards corrupt you, adding an option to end turn without casting anything. If you do that, you probably should also weight cards that draw more cards a little higher or add some kind of cards that let you filter through your deck faster. Overall it was well designed!
