Dear creators, please give me an answer.

Will release before the end of August

I WON'T hold you to that.  It's perfectly fine with ME, if the release falls into the coming month.  I used to work in this business. I know what a product looks like when it goes out before it's ready.

at this point i dont believe this update is releasing any time soon

Update 1.7 will be ready when it's ready.  It's typical for unforeseen events to occur during game development that cause a delay.  It could be a personal matter, a major bug, or hardware/software issues.  Who knows.

Personally, I wouldn't mind if they needed to release it next month.  We're already at the end of this month.

And could anyone expect something different? Has it ever happened that authors did something before the deadline? The author does not owe anything to anyone, so everything will be in the last days

Obviously and I respect that.

"The author does not owe anything to anyone"

The people who give the author money to continue developing games are definitely owed something. Not everyone is a free loader.

By pledging $10 you will get access to five different games:
◉ Roundscape Eclipse
◉ Roundscape Adorevia (Completed)
◉ Starmaker Story
◉ Arenus (Completed)
◉ Below Sunshade (Completed)
On top, you will receive an exclusive Discord role with access to new channels.

You are not an investor, you are supporting a creator with their work. The one only thing which is provided as a service is access to their catalogue of games and an additional role in their Discord. There are no promises of early access or additional disclosure of the roadmap for their projects.

Starmaker is already a free to play early access game, and a side project to Roundscape. When the full games is released next year, then there will be an obligation to make a purchase through Steam for example.  The "free loader"'s are providing something which would cost the developer a fortune QA and Market Feedback.

noted that's why I stopped giving them money. If they don't want to focus on the game, I like over the five other ones that I could care less about that's fine. But I'm not going to vote for that with my money.

I never thought I was owed anything physical either, but if someone supports your work perhaps you should listen to what they like? Otherwise, who are you making it for? yourself?

💯fair, at the end of the day it is your money and your choice. If you are unhappy with the games direction that is when you vote with your wallet as you say.

Though first and foremost I do hope Kal is making games for himself. A sign of a good game or any content is when it is made with love and passion, from their own drive and creativity. Yes, fellowship and monetisation is required to establish a good product. Though all the best indie projects are made from a single vision e.g. Fez, Braid, Super Meat Boy, Summertime Saga... These games find their following and they are locked in for the journey.

Feedback is slowly improving, mainly thanks to Dr.Muramasa. Though I will admit communication is still a massive weakness and as a Patreon I would expect monthly updates, deep dives, overviews, demos and just general nerd out sessions on cool technologies they have been working with. I do not buy the whole Kal saying "NSFW games have a hard time" the porn industry is what elevates the internet and social media is a bottomless pit of new opportunities. I am hoping their next project is lead with a winning mentality.

Though if anyone in the Starmaker community is going to spend money on anything, it might be on a go fund me to get Jhef_012 a new laptop at this rate 😅

I don't think its possible to be entirely independent or dependent on others emotionally mentally etc. just like its not possible to make art entirely for yourself or entirely for others. Anything and everything someone does is both for themselves and someone else.

At the end of the day they have the veto to say "hey f off im doing something important" but and ill be brutally honest if they dont respond when people say "hey this is cool i want to support this please put more effort into it" then they deserve to not make money or find fame.

It says the end of August, but it wouldn’t be surprising if it gets pushed back again.

(+1)

its ok, i can wait

(+3)

I check on the website every single day just like last month but still didn't get anything new):

(+2)

The time it took between 1.5 and 1.6 was 91 days, it's been about 88 so far.  Even though the author promised a much earlier release it still doesn't make it any more likely.

(+2)

Same i checked it since last august 1st since i really liked the game

(+3)

i check it every day

(+5)

probably many are doing the same as us, drop by, take a little peek, oh nothing... okay moving on with my daily routine x)

it's already the end of august but dont see 1.7 any where :))

there's been news on the discord. He apparently is at it's last bit and will upload soon. Now by soon i mean in a few hours if he went to sleep or in a few minutes if he's pulling a all nighter. Reminder he's in EU, so most likely he might have gone to bed ? Maybe... since in EU as the time of this post (my message) it's around 1:15 AM here

Finally 🙏
