How does the game fit the theme?
The game puts you under a time limit so that you can never deeply think about your moves, and you just have to risk it.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Everything was made by us (except the engine of course)

Cool idea, the graphics are simple but it really works! I like chess but unfortunately im really bad at it and i couldn't beat the first level lol. Really nice job though
coolest and only chess adaptation I've ever seen, this is so cool and it gives me anxiety
Cool mini chess game. Was fun to try :)
Polished and creative chess game! Love the short turns and variable boards. Excellent audio and presentation!
Loved how the theme was addressed in this, felt like any risk or danger that occurred was entirely self-inflicted from panic :D Great work on the tension and making something that looks so polished. Agree with others that there could be a bit more distinction between the pieces, but honestly after that, I could see you releasing this on Steam, it felt really clean and complete.
This game looks awesome and is really interesting! I wish I was better at chess because it keeps kickin' my butt! Great game!
Really great game! I spent quite a while with a friend playing it. It's a really interesting concept and I'll probably play it again.
Thanks for playing, nice to know it's fun to play with friends!
I'd like to take my time playing (I'm not that good at chess, so I get rushed).
This is amazing work. A really great game.
Great game! I really liked it. Chess fans will love this, it plays so well and everything is so clear. It gets really frantic with the time restriction!
Wow I really enjoyed this! I think the square indicator UI are a little too large, but apart from that, really well done. Love this take on the theme and combining it with timed chess!
I see, thank you for playing!
This game is so fun! Great work!
Fun game, nicely balanced. Sometimes the "where I can move" UI was too distracting.
Understood, thank you for playing!
This game has a truly unique style. It’s really fun to play, though the challenge and pressure can be quite intense
Dope game! Love the hecticness of it all and the graphics are really cool!
Super impressive for just a weeks work. Congratulations on the great game!
Very good chess game! Love the gameplay with time pressure!
Absolutely love it! Time pressure works really well, and the aesthetics are fantastic.
Fun take on chess! I enjoyed the non traditional set ups with the smaller boards and variations of pieces which meant you had to play in a different way, especially with the time limit. Graphics look lovely as well
I'm absolute trash at chess. But this was super fun and insanely well polished. The time limit added a ton of urgency to the game that my tiny brain couldn't really handle. But I could see myself getting addicted to this. My interpretation of the risk it for the biscuit theme was that the game should be about making the choice to risk it or play it safe. But it was awesome to see a game where you're just relentlessly forced to risk everything non stop until you win or lose. Great job!
This game is way too well designed it should be illegal. I only got to level 12 but I'm definitely coming back later to finish it. Also I need to know how the bot works with all the variants and custom pieces
Thanks! Not a lot is different with new pieces for the bots as they basically only look at what moves a piece can make, but I did have to give each one a value. For the variants it was a bit trickier, for king of the hill I made the bots value getting closer to a hill with their king. In the variant where pieces die when they capture the bots just count that as both pieces being captured, and in fog of war it really just cheats but I made sure to use the easiest bot in at least the first fog of war level.
Update: I did come back to it and I did finish it, was 100% worth the effort
