So much fun and so unique. Well done! A bit chaotic on keeping track of upgrades, but didnt hinder it too much

How does the game fit the theme?
Your objective is simple: collect as many delicious biscuits as possible. But beware! This isn't just a casual stroll through a biscuit paradise. Danger lurks in the form of relentless enemies who will chase you down and… well, slap you! Don't worry though, you're not defenseless; you can slap them right back!
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Only some of the sound effects and background shader was done by converting this one to spatial shader: https://godotshaders.com/shader-type/canvas_item/

Health takes forever to come back and when trying to slap you can accidentally pick up a biscuit and get slapped yourself which is really unsatisfying. So many deaths due to that. I think you maybe could or should have started the player off with just a tad bit more speed. It’s a really neat idea, love the art and everything, just the balance and controls could use some improvements. Otherwise a great entry :)
I think this plays very nicely! Simple but fun game loop, perfect game for a game jam!
Fun idea but the controls seem a bit janky - might be the web version though. In any case, very innovative and on the theme. Great graphics and sound too! :)
Absolute cinema, great theme interpretation, the execution and presentation is honestly immaculate, and so is the music. But is it damn hard (on 800DPI)
A perfect game jam game. The style is bursting with charm. I read it was drawn by your son, which makes it so incredibly genuine, honest and quirky. I loved every part of the presentation. The sound effects are exactly what they needed to be. The game design is so visceral and boiled down, it is immersive in a way that only a purely good and sound mechanic like this can be. I really felt like I was reaching across a table, grabbing biscuits frantically while being swatted, and at the same time swatting back. The upgrades are all they need to be to incentivise hoarding biscuits, excited to see if you'll expand these. I can imagine so many fun upgrades (spiked fingerless gloves, which deal a small amount of damage back to the attacker, could be fun). The whole thing is perfectly balanced and paced as well. Hope this wins, a truly lovely, quirky and sincere game.
Wah, this is great looking review of my game,.I don't even know if I deserve anyone's time to write such detailed and emotional message.
I don't really have the words to express myself.
Thank you so much and I really hope I will see you again during next updates, I've worked on it last few days a bit more and some things are already added.
Shhhh... we have rings that serve us as a visual clue what upgrades we have, also some watches, bracelets and tattoos.
Thank you once more and I can't be more happy to read this today!
Really cool! I love the concept and the execution is nearly perfect! Really fun and challenging. Rule 1 - Don't change your mouse sensitivity! haha!
I love the concept! Didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did, and it was really well executed! I think the enemy hands were a little too fast, and I think maybe increasing the player's hand speed a little as I kept running out of mouse pad space!
Very fun game but very challenging aswell! I Only made it to afford 1 upgrade cause those stupid hands are to fast and hard once I steal a biscuit they just hitback emmediatly which made me lose the game!
Overall congrats on your son doing the art he did amazing job!! You should def work further on it, could be a fun minigame even maybe with friend (adding co-op against eachother).
Well done!
I enjoyed playing it. Sadly my hand got stuck in the grabbing state, and I got slapped repeatedly into oblivion. Haha :D
Kudos to the artist as well! :)
Professional-quality graphics. Great work, this game's visuals are phenomenal.
