How does the game fit the theme?
you're risking your life for a biscuit

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I used the pixel operator font. I also used the Godot default script for character movement, then added on to it

Super interesting concept!! Fun to play. It was challenging, but still rewarding to play! Great work!

Nice work, fun game! The movement felt precise and the levels were designed well enough to require a certain path, which made for a nice puzzle element.

Great game! I beat it after 211 deaths. It was very difficult but not unfair. I am impressed by the idea for the game. I haven't seen it done before, and I was also surprised by your good level design. I think you did a great job with this game, and the only thing it really lacks is some audio. Great job regardless.

Had a lot of fun trying to figure out the best way to get the biscuits! Unfortunately, the restart buttons didn't work for me, so I just had to keep jumping to reset faster. Great job overall!!

Thanks for the feedback, I forgot to update the details with the updated controls. Thanks for letting me know

Such a fun concept and good execution too, good job on making such a game. I died quite few times!

Very cool game! Good job!

It’s a very good game, really fun to play altough i died like 300 times. I’d have loved a main menu where you could select the leves to replay them after, but it was amazing anyways. Nice Job for just one person!

Very creative idea, simple design, it has potential. Invest in your project, it will work out.

Good idea, with a cool twist for a platformer, where I lose health when moving. Really gets be strategizing to what the best route is. Really liked when the apples where introduced, to mix it up a bit. Good job!

Would you like to try my game as well? :)

Really could have used some music to offset the difficulty. I didn't get passed level 12 after 103 deaths. Neat idea for sure.

nice game, only thing is that i think the audio doesnt work? idk if you have added it, but music isnt playing for me when i play the game

Developer(+1)

There's no audio. I made some basic melodies using BeepBox and coughed into a mic to make a death sound, but it was too late to upload it.

106 Death! Great game! It's a super tight platformer for a game jam! The level are good, difficult but not impossible! Some are more puzzly and other technical. A music and sound effects would be perfect.

I thought of a variation: when you presse a key you loose health, but if you keep it pressed it doesn't stack. It might give it a more puzzly aspect?

Loved it

Cool Idea. I wrote code for dashing and climbing, but I didn't want to make levels too easy by accident, so I solely focused on the jump.

I liked it at first but that many levels were repetitive. Maybe adding different mechanics on each level would make it more fun to play.

I only reached level 11.

Thanks for the feedback. I felt like I needed to add levels to teach the player that holding down a button was not going to work, but I wasn't sure how many should I make.

It is a good game and the idea is really original. Asking for jumps that are too precise makes it end up feeling more like luck than skill, like in level 17 where asking for 4 jumps makes it feel like you just have to try a lot of times until you get lucky. But in general, the game is fun

First of all the idea is great and there is definitely a lot of potential. besides the visual and audio part a issue i had was that sometimes i was super close to the target point but could’nt reach it things like that are super frustrating and something you can work on to make the player feel ‘better/ more responsive’. really cool concept!

keep going! :)
