How does the game fit the theme?
The character has a lamp that dims every time he uses it. But without light, he can't see where he's going. The game relies on lamp management to advance to the end.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Nothing

For a game that has many leaps of faith, some of the jumps are a bit too far. I also didn't know that the light monsters would kill me, so that was frustrating, especially since I had already made it that far. If this were to get more development, I think the player would appreciate a light section with a checkpoint where they can relax and not have to feel the stress of the dark. I love the haunting vibe you've created. Music and art while simple keeps the player on their toes. A jumpscare would ruin anybody.
Very interesting and beautiful artstyle! Love the pixelated limbo vibes! You have the tone and movements down to a tee, feels as expected when moving around. One thing though is that some of the jumps are a little too precise which can lead to frustrating gameplay.
Overall great work!
I love seeing games that play with color in these jams; You've given the game a tone and character. It makes the designs of the characters cooler, too, when they're silhouetted like that. Some more visual and audio feedback would go nicely with it. Well done!
The gameplay was a little bit frustrating at times, but I loved the atmosphere!
Very Limbo inspired. I love how it looks! I think maybe invert the lamp function so it's always on, but you can dim it whenever, saves you having to hold the shift button a lot, and maybe some checkpoints?
Very big limbo vibes although some times it was unclear if I died or not
But I do love the art Style!
I really liked the concept of having to manage the lamp, but the game was not responsive (input lag) which led to a lot of deaths. Controls were also a bit difficult , maybe assign the lamp on/off mechanic (shift) and interact (E) with left/right mouse buttons instead?
Good effort! Keep it up!
The visuals are really good! I think the gameplay could've been improved with some checkpoints. It is frustrating to keep dying and respawning in the beginning, and repeating the same motion.
Liked the lighting mechanic, and super cool art
Nice game scarry not knwoing when to jump
