Really solid game. Tricky to get the hang of but once you do its solid.

How does the game fit the theme?
Story: You are an 85 years old man. One day, a mysterious man appears and offers you a deal: “You only have 10 months left to live. Gamble them in my game, and if you win, you can rewrite your life. Lose and you will die.”.
Gameplay: Each call consumes the player’s remaining months. Players must decide to: keep call to get a better bingo and higher chance to win, or play safe.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Music from free to use (freesound) ( credit in page). Some assets: font, backpack, vest from free sources like Kenney.

This game is so ADDICTING! i love the balatro inspiration, but next time you might want to do more spell checks. I really liked the gameplay, but at first i didn't understand it. maybe an interactive tutorial could be considered next time you make a game. Overall i really enjoyed this!
I really thought I was nailing it , and then it said I died...bummer :')
Cool idea, a little hard to understand at the start. hope you can add in some interacting tutorials!
Great work! The narrative you created brings bingo game to the next level. It fits the theme so well & adds a lot of emotional depth.
Extremely creative entry! And a very interesting take on the theme. I had so much fun playing this game. One recommendation I have is to slow the dialogue a little bit, I almost didn't finish reading before it changed to the next line several times. Besides that, a really cool game. Great
Hello you have made a really fun game! It had taken me quite some attempts to reach the score of 100 - and my reward was going back to school, nooooo !!! (jk). In all seriousness, the gameplay was really fun and I have enjoyed digging my brain into it. I noticed that you used a different font for the UI buttons as you used for the text in the tutorial and in main mode - I think a consistent choise would make the UI look much cleaner (I would prefer the UI from the main game). I also noticed that the music (which is really cool and fits the game) takes a bit of time to loop once it comes to the end - I think just shortening the sound file could solve the issue - but I understand the problem as in my experience game engines generely take a bit longer to loop a sound as when the game is build.
Overall I really enjoyed playing your game and think that it is a wonderful entry!
Never been a bingo player, so it took me a little while to understand, but managed to get more points every time! The intro drew me in a bit, however I was surprised that the gameplay screen and music didn't match the theme that the intro painted, which is my main bit of feedback. Otherwise, nice work!
Really nice cut scene art and story - it improves the experience a lot. Like others have mentioned, some of the other visuals could be improved, like alignment of the numbers inside each bingo cell.
But I have to say, Bingo Balatro works! It was really fun to play.
Done! Unique take of bingo. But I wish there are move control over the board. Like I can form any of the pattern without the "call". If I get unlucky, the only option i have is to keep "calling. Perhaps just allow player to use blank board to get 1 or no score. Use call for random tiles getting bonus score instead.
I really loved the music. I'm not much of a bingo guy, but it fits pretty good with the theme. Overall a good game. Well done!
Haha! Nice backstory. Took me a while to understand the mechanic, but nice execution! It maybe needs some tighter feedback loop. I can see the Balatro version of this :)
Congrats!
UI hơi khó nhìn,cảm giác chơi cx đc nhưng cốt truyện khá hay và sát với chủ đề
Cool idea and hacing a story really ads to the feeling! Also having the winning patterns on screen was a very good choice and important!
Quick Sugggestions:
- Took some tries though to understand how the ptternas works..maybe a step by step tutorial round with highlights would really boost the player retention.
Well Done!
Really liked the intro/story element to the game, it added a lot to the experience! The pattern based scoring is an interesting idea too. A little confusing at first, because for some reason my brain thought you would be allowed to have the pattern anywhere on the board. Once I figured it out though, it made a lot more sense. As mentioned by others, some visual improvements would go a long way to making the game easier to understand. For example, you could have the selection highlight colour change, or the bingo button light up when a valid pattern is selected. Overall, good work!
