Simple game but very nice. The coin mechanic is very interesting and has a lot of potential to be expanded further. Overall, the game requires some polish but it's really cool! Plus i really liked the enemy model. Well done!

Developer

Thank you.

Fun game! also i'm very good at it which speaks good of you by association (lol).
Jokes aside this is the first game i've played this jam that has this take on the theme and i've played over 60 by now.

Oh and just so you know. It's fairly easy to win by dodging every enemy and getting the keys fast enough. Not that i had to do it because ofc i'm a parry god.

Congrats!!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. The dodge was intentional, so the player has two ways to defend themselves. But the rush is really a problem. Maybe I can mitigate this by spending stamina while running (like Dark Souls does).

Souls-like potential in how much effort it takes to defeat the enemies! So, I took a risk and won.

Developer(+1)

Very well! Thanks for the feedback.

Fun game concept but could be a bit longer, also couldnt find out what the two keys were for. Combat also felt pretty nice but you can exploit the enemy AI when staying close and circling behind them, as they don't seem to turn to your new location that way. Overall I found it quite enjoyable and would have played more if there was more content!

Thanks for the feedback. I agree with everything. I kept the scope small because I almost didn't finish it 💀

I do see lot of potential from the game! Take me a few minute to master the parry to fully enjoy the gameplay! Yet the game will much look better and "punchy" if you ad some of visual effect when slashing or parrying, make it more risky and fun! Great game!

Developer

I planned to put at least one particle in the parry, but I only had time to put the sound 😅

My computer is known to have issue with fps controller in html build, but it was hard to play because my character rotated very slowly compared to my mouse moving. The dino opponent is cute!

I had to lower the sensitivity because the game was faster than in the engine. It must be something advanced with vsync or FPS. I'll see if I remember to put a sensitivity slider in my next game.

It clearly needs more, but it's an interesting start.  Like mentioned earlier, there is a lot of room to expand the betting mechanic.  You could almost use it as a replacement for an XP system.

Developer

Interesting point. When I think of XP, I think of a bigger game. I'll keep that in mind.

Thank you.

Cool game, the core concept is pretty good but I feel that the risk part could be bigger, ex coins could potentially take health or give debuffs

Developer

Good ideas. My first thought was that the player could sacrifice life for power. But I thought the game would be too difficult.
