The player playing as the test subject has to risk all his stamina to parkour to the other side of the map in order to obtain a biscuit
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?

This game is so hard lol. but the visuals, especially that screen VHS shader (i suspect it is a shader) looks really nice, and the movement is fluid. but i must say there is some room for performance upgrades, and setttings. overall, great work
Brace yourself, but I have to be honest. I’m having trouble pasting the first level. I’m actually a huge platformer fan (which is why I made one for the jam lol), but just couldn’t do it for this game sadly.
But I have to say though, I really love the visuals. Very retro instead. And the music brings out the game very well. And also very interesting running on walls mechanic instead.
Seems like we made the levels too hard for everyone lol we thought maybe if they were hard we could get away with only a few levels implemented in the game
The visuals and audio are amazing, but I couldn't get past the first level. The controls are really frustrating, and it was really hard to understand what I was supposed to do most of the time.
I love platforming games, so I really enjoyed playing this, but I encountered a few problems that I had a hard time playing around at first.
I like controls to be snappy, and I often felt here like my character was sliding too much, but that's not just an issue of your game, it's pretty common in 3D platforming games (Clustertruck can be an example). I also found the wallrun/vaulting to be pretty unreliable and had to play without it, and only used slidedash/jump.
These obstacles passed, I had a really good time playing the game. The visuals are simplistic but very cool (is it the PostProcessing addon from Godot?), I had to mute the sound after a while tho because the music was hitting on my nerves.
I think the game concept is a 5/5 on the theme, it's probably the most fun and clever way to introduce the theme I've seen. Too bad it's this short, but other people would probably hate it if it was longer, so oh well.
TL;DR: classic concept but with a banger integration of the theme, cool visuals and sfx but headache music (maybe it's just too loud), platforming gameplay good but lacks snappyness and/or reliability (imo)
Glad you enjoyed the game! And no, the post processing effects are mostly all from godot shaders
Oh right, I didn't know which addon it was exactly, I just remembered we used the kinda old TV effect on a previous jam at some point (or maybe it's just a very common shader aha).
I had fun failing on this Parcour!
Great mood setting with graphics and music.
I could not figure out the jump onto the wall (after the you crouch under) and jumping over it just put me back to start, so I eventually gave up. No sweat, I know I stink at jumping games. LOL.
