How does the game fit the theme?
The character must cross a bridge that could collapse at any moment and takes a risk in the sense that the cookies baking on the other side are well worth it.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
All external assets I used are listed on the game's page and also within the game itself as a way to credit their authors, who generously made them available for free and allowed for use in any project. Regarding the code, I had some drafts of path creation since the idea already existed in my mind, but I didn't have a game yet. As soon as the jam theme was announced, I created the terrain, set up its progression, designed the entire UI, worked on the character's movement and animation, recorded all the sounds (except the music), created the pixel art, etc.

Great game, unlike my friend Zreckul I'm not good at figuring out the patterns 😂 I got stuck on the first secret rule level. Still had fun though!
Nice concept! I really enjoyed figuring out the common patterns among the tiles.
i enjoyed it more than i thought i would, well done!
had to turn my brain on for once lol
Thank you so much! I'm so happy with your comment and I'm glad the game caught your attention for a bit.
Unfortunately, due to hardware limitations, I'm currently unable to test .exe games, so I won't be able to test Biscuit Wars... it looks amazing by the screenshots you posted. I apologize for that. Have a great jam.
Thanks for the comment and for trying the game.
All levels have at least one valid path. The path is randomly created during level loading, and then another script populates blocks with valid values for that path and invalid values for the others (or valid with a small chance for the others, meaning there may even be multiple valid paths).
If the path-generating script can't create a valid path, it falls back to a manually defined and simple path to avoid breaking the level.
I got hooked on this game - I was really drawn in by the animation of the falling cubic bridge and the funny scream, so solving the puzzles never felt boring. I love games like this and would rate it highly
Got way way too much into it. Made it to 7... I am going to figure out the rest....
They get extremely hard at the end. After spending 30 minutes on level 10, I had a large table of good and bad tiles, but I never guessed the answer was THAT table. Skipped level 11 quickly by luck, with a different rule in mind. Couldn't guess the rule for that level.
Yes, some people also told me that they sometimes luckily managed to skip a stage without discovering the rule. It's perfectly possible, since there's more than just one path available, and there are valid blocks even outside the path, also to add randomness and multiple options.
Thank you so much for trying it. I'm happy when people play my game, especially when they reach the final levels.
I lost some neurons in the more advanced stages but other than that everything was good
So fun!!! The game is so complete and well made. Gamefeel is awesome. The sound and the mechanics are well designed.
I love the concept, a really innovative take on puzzle games. But I had to give up on stage 6 after half an hour of attempting everything I could think of. Maybe I just missed something obvious, but I think it is just way too difficult and ambiguous what is even possible. Hints would be ideal of course, but with limited time in a game jam a button to reveal the solution so you can at least see the rest of the game would have been fine.
A really cool idea and concept for a puzzle game that I really enjoyed my limited time with

The game is SO interesting. I definitely enjoyed the first few levels a lot and even some of the missing rule levels - The visuals are beautiful and the sounds go a long way to making the game feel good to play. It immerses the player greatly and is pretty innovative in my opinion.

Being honest, I think I'm too un-smart for this. Some of the rules upon discovering them made me think "I never would've gotten that" and so it was a shame when I got to the OYX puzzle as I kinda lost the motivation to complete it. It's a shame because that one seemed really interesting, So if there's ever a post-jam build I would love to come back and play it.
I'll give this game a 7/10 - But mostly because I'm not smart enough to see it's full potential! Hopefully you could add a hints system?
