How does the game fit the theme?
the main mecanic of the game is mining:

each second you continue mining, more damage you make, whereas you are not able to move until you stop mining and reset your damage

the idea is to plan how to risk more time mining to get more damage and more materials for then building defences from the enemies, and try to risk it more for the next mining.

Also inside the rock the is the magical golden cookie to also mine as a surprise :D

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
non this is my first ever game

good job as a solo developer

Cool game! At first, it had some kind of risk and reward until you could wall-spam, and now you literally win. Another thing is that the lack of audio and music makes it really hard to get into the game.

This was pretty fun but I couldn't really figure out how to build defenses though. Still pretty good

Took me way too long to realize I could just kill the enemies myself with just a tap of the drill, made it really easy after that, especially since I couldn't make walls after the rock's initial layer got broken through, you can definitely completely ignore the building mechanics of this. Also agreed with others, some sound effects would definitely go a long way

Could've used some feedback and audio, but it was a pretty fun game, and the Drilling animation was great, with it slowly zooming in and shaking more and more. Good job!

The concept is very creative and fits well with the theme. The missing audios make the game feels a bit unclear/lack of feedback, but overall, it's a good game for the first try! Great job.

Very cool! I like the idea of gathering materials and building your defense. The exploding enemy work very well for this mechanic.

However, The lack of audio kinda make this game felt unfinished. for your next project you should considered adding sound effect to the game, even the most basic sounds can make your game feel much better.

For your first game, you've done an amazing job. you've got great idea and good art style. Keep up the good work.

hey man thats a pretty cool make sure to rate ours

Cool idea, it requires a bit more of visual aid for when you are mining/attacking and some audio. But as a concept it's great, I can see it being a really fun game to explore with more minerals/constructions implemented!

Developer

thanks for the comment! i'll take it into account

I like the idea but the UI is kinda unclear about what you can do and suppose to do, without the screenshot I don't even know that there are things to do beside mining.

The physics were sometimes a little wonky, but I really liked the screenshake. I beat the game after finally figuring out what the second build did

I liked the idea and visuals, I agree with others that it needs some audio, but overall I think it’s ok, good job!

Developer

Thanks! Yes I didn´t have time for audio so I published as soon as I had a playable version, i´ll take it into account for next or for an update!

The really could use some audio. Also the enemies should use navmesh so they know how to go around the rock. Now it was easy to stand in one place and at least five enemies just got stuck on the other side. Also the colliders on the destoyed parts of the rock were pretty wonky. It made enemies teleport towards you. But nice job on the jam!

I love the approach to the theme, but it just misses some juicy sounds, and locking the player in place while drilling is fine, but atleast make it possible to turn the drill while doing so, overall a fun game :D

I liked the camera shake and the risk vs reward factor was there, this game could have really benefited from a cursor because there were times where I thought I was clicking the block and I simply wasn't

Nice work on the art and assets, particularly the gradual camera shake, felt really well done.
