How does the game fit the theme?
The game fits the theme through its core mechanic of risk-taking. Players must decide whether to keep digging for better loot or move on to another hole.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I did everything myself, no assets, no add-ons, just me and godot :D

This game can become another popular quota game! I was really drawn in, and the game fits the jam theme quite well!
Thank you! I can't hide that "quota games" got me inspired to make this, but I didn't implemented it very well.
Thanks for playing! <3
Simple and fun mechanics, and a cute crab. What else could anyone want? Well done and good luck with the jam.
That's so cute haha. Thank you! <3
Well done on your first released game!
This seems like a really strong foundation. I wasn't sure about the item system at first, but it actually grew on me more than I expected, especially after getting a bag. The only thing I would change is the controls so you don't need to hold LMB all the time.
Thanks for your feedback! I am aware that holding left mouse button can be exhausting and I know that I could have change it, sorry for that :(
I'm happy to hear that you like my game!
Thanks for playing!
I loved that idea. It kinda reminds me of phasmophobia maybe for the tools dragging, so maybe add the possibility to take all tools with you and just switch between them. Also, some cool collectibles, discovering old things or something like that would really add to game flow. Nice job!
I'm happy to hear that you like my game! <3 I would have to think about the item system of switching tools, because I don't want to make it something else than just equipping it in hand and spam left click...
There could be more objects, scrap, tools, enemies and dangerous items, but I had enough of blender lol.
Thank you for playing! <3
Congratulations for finishing your first jam! Especially as 1-person team. Really interesting concept, I just wish I had the tools with me all the time, or at least I wouldn't need to hold a mouse button while carrying them.
Btw I love the title!
THANK YOU! I totally get what you mean about the tools, that’s something I’d like to improve in the future to make carrying feel smoother. And I’m glad you liked the title too 😄
Thanks for giving my game a try! <3
Good job on the art style of the game. It works great all together.
What I would have loved is a compass for the tools. At the beginning, I spent a lot of time searching for them.
Thanks a lot! I’m really happy you liked the art style! A compass would be helpful at least at the beginning as a part of tutorial, so I guess I'll add it in the future? I think...

Fantastic work for your first game jam! I think I agree with others about the carrying of objects - perhaps if the islands you visit are smaller / all the tools you need are automatically in the boat (at the current level you have bought them at)?
Yeah, I guess you're right, if I have plans to do update this game, I'll changr it right away!
Thanks for playing!
The tutorial is great, it's simple but gets to the point. I did find it a bit hard to use the objects, but that might have been intentional.
Tutorial was made in 5 minutes lol... Interacting with tools and collisions can be a bit clumsy, but I think this makes gameplay a bit different than the other games
Thanks for playing!
Really nice first entry! I loved the sounds and the physics-based dragging; it felt good to play. Nice feedback on the player! Cool game!
I'm really surprised you like the sounds because they were made in 10 minutes in a hurry lol.
Replying to other players feedback is important to me and it’s so awesome to hear it felt good to play.
Thanks for giving it a go!
Good sounds don't always take long to make! Sometimes it takes me less than 5 minutes to make sounds for things, depending on the style I am going for! And this fit!
1 man team, doing their first jam 👏👏👏.
Such a cool idea, really love the whole risk and reward mechanic with the digging.
I'd love it if the tidium got reduced a little bit tho. Sprinting and bags were really good, but I think little things, such as item hot key storage (which bags could upgrade) and a sell station closer to the boat, would be a massive improvement.
Also, the item designs confused me a tad. I had a situation where I went out with 2 pieces of the same type of gear because I felt like the upgraded version of the scanner was a detector based on the art.
I could imagine this receiving the lethal company treatment too, and being made into a crazy multiplayer game. Happy to share and explain the netcode I wrote for my jam if you'd like.
This is such an amazing formula that I really feel like you should keep cooking on. Amazing stuff!
Wow, thank you so much! Yeah, being a 1-man team for my first jam was wild, but last time when I had an idea to make a game with friends, well... let's say this game won't release lol.
I really appreciate your feedback the ideas about tidium, hotkey storage, and a sell station being closer to the boat would really help, and I’ll definitely keep them in mind.
I had some challenges with item design, but you can check in the shop what is it.
I would love to make it multiplayer and maybe I'll learn and try to turn it into a chill game you can play with friends :D
Thanks again for playing and for such kind words!
Really well made game, I think having a calming backing track would add to the island theme, but the concept is great and it was fun to work with all the different tools, nice work!
Thanks a lot! I actually had a calming track in mind, but I couldn’t find the right one that matched the vibe. I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed it :D
Thanks for playing!
Carrying each item can be a bit inconvenient, but it fits the concept well and makes the game fun. I liked how simple and focused on the core fun it is!
Yeah, carrying items can be a little tricky, but I’m happy it adds to the concept and fun! Really glad you enjoyed it tho.
Thanks for playing!
Quite polished and cool concept.
I'm happy you liked it :D
If this is your first ever game, you are going places. I just know it. It is so well made, really Good job
That's so sweet, thank you!
Technically very impressive for a first game!
Thank you! <3
I think the gameplay was pretty fun and I actually played for quite some time. I liked the sound effects too, but I think the beeping sound from the detector could had been turned off when dropping it to the ground so you don't have to hear it as much. I don't know if it was a bug but the crabs didn't attack me, only followed me around, so I kept them as companions while digging for treasures :D
They SHOULD attack, but I guess I forgot to change some values, sorry for that. I'm happy to hear that you spend some time playing it. At first I didn't expect anyone to play it lol.
Thanks for playing! <3
I love the concept a lot! This game has a very solid foundation. If you can polish the game well, it could be a super cool casual game. I have two suggestions: 1. You can add some bgm to increase the entire experience, casual, intensive, or some else types. 2. The equipment could use upgrade system. For example, press 1 will be an inspector, press 2 will be a shovel, etc. And after the player buying the new equipment, all these things could be a upgraded version. This will make the game easier to control and manage all items.
I wanted to add bgm but I couldn't find any good one. The first idea was to actually upgrade tools to a better version but I've decided to just buy a new one because it's easier to implement. Maybe in the future I'll add it.
Thanks for playing! <3
This was actually fun concept! Only thing it really needs is a chill background music. Making all the assets and the game with your experience level is really impressive. Great work!
I wanted to add a chill soft background music but I couldn't find any good one. Happy to hear that you like my game!
Thanks for playing! <3
I also found your game to be top in karma!
I think your idea is really inovative. Loved the visuals and enjoyed playing your game.
When first playing your game I bought a big bag out of the money from the tutorial gem, stashed my bad detector and inspecter in it and didn't know how to get them out of the bag. Then I traveled back to the hub island, bought new ones, traveled back to the other island to collect treasures and landed there completely itemles : )
So when my brother atempted to play your game he just took all the items from the tutorial, didn't buy a bag, and traveled right to the main island to start digging. He always took his chances to get a gem, but ended up digging 1 scrap, 2 crabs and many many mines.
So all in all a great experience!
Haha, that's has to be unlucky run ig.
In the description I said that if you want to take things out of the bag, hold it and press F key, but I could have add it in the game.
About the tutorial, I didn't think about it and it's it's my fault that you can bring the best items with you.
Happy to hear that you found my game on top in karma and thanks for playing! <3
Wow - honestly, im very impressed by the amount of content in this game. Very ambitious!
Good job!
It could be more content if I had more motivation, but maybe I'll update it in the future?
Thanks for playing! <3
