I enjoyed this graetly! ( As far as you can say that considering the subject matter )
I hope I got all the endings aswell.
This game feels like it stepped right out of the Dread X Collection series, which I'm a massive fan of.
Great esthetic, love the movement of the water and changing lighting / time of day. I'm allways super impressed when someone shows up to one of these with an actual 3D game.
My only complaints are the volume of the scream ( it's a jump scare, I get it, still ); and it doesn't have much to do with risks or biscuits, no? ;)
Sorry, I definitely agree about the jumpscare. I kind of wish I tweaked it since it doesn't fit very well with the rest of the game, in my opinion.
Well, I'd disagree about the risk. If you weren't being risky, you would leave at the first sign of danger. Also, the biscuit in the phrase is a metaphor for something valuable, but I'm sure you know that.
Anyway, thank you for taking the time to get all endings. There are only two.
I'm glad you enjoyed and thank you for all the other nice words. :)
I’m totally into this vibe. It’s pretty cool!
Really good story
Really heartfelt narrative. Well done.
Was not expecting a spooky narrative game!
I was confused on my first pass because I thought you were supposed to fish and aim into the circles, and then I sailed out into the abyss where the water texture stopped haha.
It was a neat experience afterwards when I actually fished out of the appropriate spots.
As a note, I got soft locked on my second attempt when I clicked too fast (?) or perhaps sailed away from the initial spook before resolving it.
...Gosh dang it. I put a barrier that was supposed to turn the boat around if you sailed out too far. I also thought I prevented using anything on the boat till you looked at the scary thing... Oh well, thanks for letting me know.
Update: Fixed the barrier. However, I have no idea how you broke the jump scare. It's supposed to disable your ability to click anything on the boat when you get the fish, which would be at a time when you still can't click anything.
That initial scare really got me
Yeah, sorry about that one. Came out a bit scarier than I intended. It would freak me out whenever I play tested.
Oh, no need to apologize, I loved it! I'm a huge horror fan.
That's good to hear! I'm a big horror fan too!...if it's not obvious from this being a horror game. :p
I love how calm this game starts and the slow build-up of horror. the pixelated shader is really cool.
