I love that you included your logo at the beginning. I need to come up with something myself in that regard.  Very nice Celeste clone.  Pretty difficult, but I enjoyed it.  The artwork was top notch and the music was great.

this feels like the exact middle between pico 8 celeste and paid celeste. i enjoy your take on the dash, having curved physics changes quite a bit. i am terrible at it and quit kinda quickly, but it feels like exactly what one would be going for in a Celeste-like

Developer

thankyou very much! Thanks for giving it a go 😊

The difficulty ramps up pretty quick because I could only finish about 20 levels, even I sucked at it for a while >.< some of the later ones still take me a few tries hahaha

Perfectly emulates Celeste and the style is great! Amazing work! I just wish I were better at platformers lol

Also an extra bind for the dash would be great, using X with WASD was a little too awkward so I had to use arrow keys. Maybe right shift?

Developer(+1)

thankyouu! That's very kind!

You're totally right! Shift would have been a good idea! I did all my testing with controller and arrow keys so I hadn't even thought of that hehe good point >.<

Amazing. Five stars. So impressed by how much you accomplished in such a short period of time. This was 100% Celeste.

The only bug I noticed was that sometimes you continue to wall slide even after you fall below a wall. It happened to me once, I think. Otherwise, no notes!

Developer

Ahh such a high complement 🥺 thankyou!! I really appreciate that! ☺️

The wall sliding bug yeahh, I did know about this one but it was caused by a last minute bandaid >.< originally the walls slide would be pixel perfect and when you let go of the directional button you'd imediatly stop wallsliding, but people had some issues with the exact controls so I put in a lil 0.2 second delay before stopping the slide and didn't have time to fix the bugs that came with it hehe buttt I will continue to work on and polished this controller so that will be top of the list 😄

The ol' coyote time in the wall slide bug. ;)

This is perfection. No other words needed. This submission blew me away. A Celeste clone? That's super fun? Get out of here.

Developer

that is so kind!! Thankyou so much 😊

Holy crow! Impressive artwork, gorgeous audio, and I’m not normally great with these kinds of games, but I managed to get to the end! Learning you can angle your dashes was a game-changer lol This feels like a production level demo more than a game jam, the care and attention to detail really shows!

Developer(+1)

Thankyou so much!! I appreciate this so much 🥺 that's very kind!

Though! Next time I will have to take a page from your book and do even a fraction of the settings you had in your game  heh >.< yours was so Impressivee

Really great job especially on capturing the feel of Celeste.

thankyou very much! I appreciate the kind words 😊

I absolutely SUCK at platformers on a keyboard and I cannot explain why!
Absolutely gorgeous art, feels like Celeste, fantastic ork!

Developer

Feels like celeste is the best compliment i could have received for this! thankyou very much!

The sound levels are PERFECT! I appreciate any game that doesn’t make me immediately reach to turn down the volume! Also, fits the mood too. I’ve never been good at Celeste, but I do love the game. Controller feels good. I like the pixel chunky look. Level(s)/room(s) were JUST the right amount of annoying/challenging to where I wanted to keep trying, but didn’t feel like I had to be a “platformer gamer”. I finished it too :D Played on a linux laptop and keyboard.

Developer(+1)

Thankyou so much! i really appreciate the kind words! sound levels are only perfect after the feedback you gave me about them so thankyou for that heh >.<

Submitted

That was very cool !
I couldn't make it past this room because despite spamming the dash it had a small delay to activate after picking up a dash reset (on keyboard), but maybe it's just skill issue from me.
Anyways I rly loved how clean the visuals are and the details like the snow and level decors etc, and the game is well polished

thankyou! I appreciate the feedback!

This level is one of the last and pretty difficult 😆 only having a few weeks meant less levels so I had to crank the difficulty ramp a lil hehe

The idea for this level is to not just use the dash crystals but to walljump in each section to grab the crystal hehe you're super right though this level does look like you should be able to just dash off each section to the next I hadn't thought of that >.<

Ah I see ! I'm gonna try again to beat it later then

Developer

heh good luck! Let me know how you go 😊
