Love the Overcooked vibes. A really cozy game on the outside, a pretty challenging one on the inside. It was really fun to play and very polished. Really good job!

So cozy! The tutorial text was a little intimidating; in all honesty, I stopped reading after the first 3 lines and then struggled to figure out how to make wheat, but the good signposting eventually let me figure it out. I think having some reminder of the recipe on screen, or even in the pause menu, would be good. The ingredients on the table were a little hard to see because of their size. Apart from the little grievances, the game was very delightful, and the butterfly pun was very good. Nice work.

This game feels really complete and polished for such a short time, that's quite impressive! Also a very creative take on the theme.

It didn't feel as risky as I would have liked when throwing ingredients around,  but it did feel risky when walking past the beehive in the tutorial and potentially losing the biscuit I spent so long preparing, so maybe more varied risk elements might be beneficial, and more valuable ingredients are in the "riskier" parts of the map. This way the player gets to decide how to chase their score, biscuit volume or more valuable biscuits.

Throwing rocks at butterflies for butter was way too much fun :). Very cool game, well done!

I didn't think games could be cozy and stressful, but you managed to hit that sweet spot!

Appreciated the tutorial
The mechanics and presentation are super polished, especially for a 2-person team

Would be cool to see this fleshed out in a way that encouraged more risk-taking.
Like maybe instead of set order timers, certain rarer cookies could give more points but have a shorter timer so the player can decide whether or not to go for the easy cookie or the tough one?

Polished with strong mechanics! I do enjoyed the challenge to bake each cookies and gather the ingredient, how the butter is flying around, or attacked by ton of bee if i greedy, or hurting the chicken (made myself feel guilty because i always accidently hit it). One concern of mine is the level is a bit difficult with this complex mechanism. I think if you refine the level pattern (Platforming is fun thought!) the game will had better learning curve. I'm interested to learn more and play more not just only the score, yet the level itself too!!! Great game, hope this had a full version!

Developer

Yes we do plan to expand the game with more levels with increasing complexity and a proper tutorial level, plus potential multiplayer to ease the workload. Thanks for your suggestion.

Such a pollished game, loved every part of it

cute game, thankyou for posting. ^-^

Bro, incredibly polished game! You made an excelent job, btw, thanks for the tutorial, it was really useful, cause it would be so much hard to understand without that. Good animations, good sound, good cooking system, well, if I would suggest something to an update, it would be more levels and recipes, your game has a real potential

Developer(+1)

These are definitely in the update to-do list. Thanks for the feedback.

My favorite game at this jam out of the ones I played. I don't usually write comments on the games I rate, it's a bit hard for me to express my thoughts in English every time, but here I was impressed by how well thought out everything was, each mechanic is unique, but at the same time you can figure it out even without tutorial. Bravo!

Absolutely loved this game

Great art and I really like the way we collect ingredients! I just found the movement and jumping a bit hard  when picking up items and ofcourse I understand why you make it that way, that’s just my personal opinion. Overall, a really nice game jam entry!

This is really good! I like the cute pixel art graphics, the cosy music, and the gameplay loop is enjoyable. It's really polished as well. Well done! Beating bees for honey and butterflies for butter is hilarious and it seriously added to the charm of the game. Cookie portal is also cute. I am probably playing a bit all over the place and getting 6100 on my first run, but I am enjoying every bit of it.

For a criticism, I would say the game is a bit slow, especially when you are collecting one item at a time, travelling back and forth, and that also makes you can realisticly bake one cookie at a time. Maybe multiplayer or easier gathering + longer bake time would help but I am not sure.

Anyway, this is really fun and good. Congrats on achieving that. Well done!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback. We do plan to improve the game's flow and potentially implement multiplayer in the future, so that plays can work together with different roles.

I love that so much!!!!

This was really fun. Cooking sim but as a platformer is a neat idea.

Nice art!

Yeah, it is difficult (thanks for the warning, lol). It doesn’t help that I suck at this kind of games. But the art style and the execution are top notch.
