So much depth and variety for a small team within a small time frame, very impressive! I enjoyed that we could stack effects and get super strong so early, was just fun flying around blasting enemies with different combinations of magic and items. A lot of attention to detail and a very unique blend of styles.
I just wish the dash would go in the direction I am moving instead of the direction I am pointing so I can still blast enemies while dashing around as I please.
Great work with this one and I think it has a lot of potential with some more dedicated work and polish!

How does the game fit the theme?
The game is all about sacrificing power in exchange for gaining more biscuits! Biscuits are the currency used to buy items, gates and heal. Failure to get enough biscuits will cost you dearly.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?

So clever, I love this! Version 1.3 looks like it’s off to a good start too :) I’m so excited to see where this goes! Is it intentional we can’t look at items without getting to a cauldron? Even then you can’t see what weapon/basic spell you have equipped…
Chill game! Got it working would be good if there was instructions how to play in the game tho not exactly sure what all the ui is or does. All n all Nice work <3 *this game was live reviewed here: twitch.tv/gratefulllyivory (will post vod after stream)
I’m not sure if this is a bug, but quite a few goblins just stand still and don’t attack me, and the bullets can go through walls, which makes the game a bit too easy. The animations are a plus though .I really like that.
I enjoyed your take on the theme, especially with potentially having to trade health if you were low on biscuits at the gate! Having little jars to shoot was a fun distraction between waves of enemies, too.
I started with the Jam version and then played the version on GitHub. The detailed improvements really made the game much more interesting! As soon as I started, I swapped almost all my spells for the cookie blessing and had nearly a thousand cookies by the time I reached the first door. It was incredibly satisfying and a fantastic feeling of power. While the sense of purpose could be a bit clearer and some repetition is noticeable, the overall experience is wonderfully fun and rewarding.
Cool mechanic. The art is good that make me feel like around is 3d environment. The only thing I dislike is the channel skill, maybe I didnt understand well but most of time in combat I cant cast the spells I want (or at least cast something to kill the enemy). Overall it is good
This is such a cool submission! I love the sounds and visuals, and the gameplay is super fun! The power combination is also such a unique and fun way to implement such a system.
Loved breaking pots as well, super satisfying
The dash was definitely the best skill..visually and game feel! Also very nice touch reducing the move speed on the stairs! Controls and player/enemy behaviour is very good.
Quick Suggestions:
- The most important thing is a tutorial at the begining with th epowers and cookies.
- The tooltip stayed on screen sometimes for the rest of the game after hovering over a cookie.
- Maybe a minimap for the dungeons if you plan to make them bigger.
Overall a very polished game with much of potenital! Well done!
charming visuals! i do think the game needed some tutorialization because i had no clue what i was supposed to do
Cool little game, I found the dungeon a little repetitive, and it took me too long to see the biscuit count bottom left. big fan of the hungry chest tho
