Good game. Get this man his biscuit!

1. Yes, I agree. More enemies mean a higher density of bullets, which makes the game more difficult. I think it would be better to tie the random number for enemy spawns to a timer. This would make it easy at the beginning and progressively harder over time, until the player is eventually overwhelmed by an unbearable number of enemies and dies. However, this preference also comes from the fact that I'm a fan of level-based games, so I lean towards having a clear final goal (even if it's a fated death), lol.

2. Using the 'R' key for reloading is perfectly fine, too. I don't feel there's a strong need to change it.

It's a very short and interesting game, and the opening animation was really fun. Nice work!

Thanks for review!

Good consistent art style. The shooting mechanic worked well, more mouse control could have helped (shooting up or diagonally) but maybe it was your choice to limit that for difficulty. I had fun playing it

Ah I get you!

There was a moment where the shooting sounds combined with the item sounds and it created a kind of music beat that was fantastic. I don't know if that's intentional or not, but I really liked it!

Solid core loop, and the enemies had a lot of character despite the simple art style.

I like the character designs. good game

Loved the opening clip, especially the music. The graphics for the player death is amazing, nice work.

That was actually fun and quite challenging at first. I was always forgetting to reload.

Great work!!

Fun little game. I really like the art style. Although its simple, it hits the sweet spot for me. Very cool with the character walking down the road like that slaying the enemies, Good job !

Would you like to try my game also? :)

Nice little game, with a nice variety of enemies. Unfortunate about the story mode not working on the web but a good submission for you first jam. One thing that would of been a nice addition would be to be able to switch weapons once you pick up the assault rifle.

Developer

Thanks for the review. Regarding story mode  troubles, that was little bug and I already solved it and updated the game. You can try it again.

This is definently something of a game, and congratulations on your first ever game posted on itch.io! (Although I did see that you made a previous game named Yubado) I really like the core concept of having to aim your gun and shoot people while also never stopping for anything, and great job on the graphics department, as they look like Minecraft characters but deconstructed and given guns.  The only criticism I even have with the game is that if I run out of bullets, and if I try to reload by pressing the R key, it doesn't reload on the fly nor does it reload automatically, so if I don't have any bullets to shoot, I'm basically helpless. Overall, 3/5 stars. It's a great game. but there are some improvements I think you could look at.

Story mode doesn't seem to work, but infinite mode is fun, although it could be better if the difficulty could be gradually increased as the player progresses.

Developer (1 edit)

It is increased but very slowly. Also story mode isn't working in browser because I have errors with cutscene but it works perfectly fine in downloaded version. Thank you for comment!
