The central mechanic is really cool and unique, but as others mentioned I'm not sure how well it fits the theme. Still had fun playing though and you could definitely do some really cool things with the cloning mechanic in the future!

i didnt realise there was only a few waves, spawned all my echos at the enemy spawn locations and everytime they spawned they were killed and then they just stopped spawning, but was fun while it lasted! good work, especially with working alone!

Fun idea. I wish there were more waves/levels. The clone mechanic is really cool.

This was fun, but it felt more in line with the loop theme of the GMTK jam!

I recommend changing the appearance of enemy bullets so you know which ones to dodge, and maybe make the clones weaker to die in 1-2 hits.

My clones were blasting everything, making me unstoppable, very satisfying!

I wish there were more waves! It was definitely easy to put up 4 clones who just completely walled off everything. They definitely just seemed like a positive and not like I as risking anything by making them. So I’m not sure how the theme applies. But this was a fun and neat idea and I really wish there was more to it!

The mechanics of the hp clones are really interesting and innovative, but for some reason the opponents stopped appearing over time...

This was a great implementation of a clone system. I think the risk level could have been increased by reducing max health rather than current health. Hold to shoot would be nice and perhaps adding reloading or keeping the player(s) confined to make the waves a bit more intimidating.

I really like the idea to sacrifice a bunch of health for a copy. Wouldve loved to see the echoes actually helping though. Also, when I passed like 3 or 4 levels, the enemies stopped coming. great job btw!

very cool idea, not sure how well it fits the theme as it's a bit hard to tell what you're risking vs not risking (feels like you should always clone yourself whenever you can)

This is a cool idea and a great demo so far. I found I had less time to record each echo, not sure if thats intentional. I think it would be really interesting to explore this concept further, maybe with a slightly different objective/ game setup. Like maybe more of a turn based strategy concept where you need to remember where you're sending your troops so they don't shoot each other. Cool idea though, well done!

Very unique mechanic, which I can see being pretty fun with some polish. Besides agreeing with the other comments on some notes, I think the spam clicking to fire gets pretty painful after a short while. Still, a very neat entry which I enjoyed! Nice work.

The core mechanic is pretty cool. However, I have some tips for improvements:

- Make bullets massive, at least the size of the characters chest. It makes them easier to see and react to. This may not be realistic, but it's a video game after all.
- Screen shake is a very fast way to add a lot of impact to things (shoot; damage taken) and helps make the game feel more alive.

Hope that was helpful, congrats on making a game!

Really nice mechanic you have there! Maybe you could add auto-shooting for less mouse clicking.

Maybe some upgrades for longer echoes. The cost for echoes seems a bit too little. Maybe all could take shared damage.

I love the game mechanics, just loved it.

cool idea!

Loved this. It was so satisfying to have four echoes just blasting away.
