Atmosphere is AMAZING, though it would be nice if there was more thing to do gameplay wise.

Good job on the first game, good luck

Your effort really shows, it was a joy to play

Neat mood, good job! I think I sort of understand what's going on, but I may not have understood all the nuances! Enjoyed it anyhow!

Developer

thank you for your feedback i am working on the full game which hopefully should be much better and improved.

Congratulations on your first game and first game jam!
Game's concept is cool but execution needs to be improved. UI shouldn't close in stops so you can check who you should take. Also giving more feedback with text and sound would be cool, I don't understand why I lost the game in my tries.

Really cool game. The art is really good and the game fits the theme very well. Things you consider adding to the game are a tutorial to help explain what all of the resources do and how different traits work and a menu to show all of the passengers since it's difficult to read the current display in the little time between stops. But otherwise a great game.

I like the concept of managing who you bring on board by their traits. Though it felt a little overwhelming with all the numbers on the side, also not being able to check the roster before choosing the next passenger. I enjoyed the vibes, eerie yet calm. Nice game! :)

I loved the dark but calm and peaceful vibes. The mechanics are simple but still give you a lot choice and compliment each other very nice.  I wish the interface was more clear and it let you see who you have currently on board because I couldn't remember all traits and effects of all ghosts that were present on the ship.

Very cool and unique theming! I was very drawn into the concept and reading all the flavor text for the different characters trying to imagine their life. As other comments have mentioned the UI is the main issue. I feel like on hover tool tips would solve most of the issues people have, but I am interested to see how this game evolves in the future. You have something here for sure, great submission!

Hi thanks for your feedback, unfortunately, due to some issues I only had about 48 hours to complete the game and I had to remove many stuff, however I am now expanding on this and working on a full version of this game which should be so much better in all aspect.

i will defiantly take all the feedback and improve this game as i enjoy it myself.

It reminded me a lot of FTL of course in a simpler and more minimal form. The game itself seems to have quite a bit of depth, but I couldn’t progress too far because of a few reasons below.

Visually, it felt lacking and pulled me out of the experience a bit. The game is very text-heavy, and the font looked a little blurry. Text-driven progression can definitely work, but it really needs to be supported by some visuals  right now the screen looks more like reading a book.

Also, the icons didn’t really communicate what they represented. At first glance I couldn’t tell what they were, and only figured it out after a few trial-and-error buys.

I think people who enjoy text-heavy games might like this a lot more, but for me personally it made me lose interest after a while. That said, the background music was very relaxing and gave the game a nice cozy atmosphere where you can play in a chill way.

If I remember correctly, this was your first game or maybe your first game jam (I might be wrong I currently have 40+ jam game tabs open for other gamejam submissions :D :D). But if that’s the case, it’s really impressive how detailed of a project you managed to put together! (and only for only 1 person it`s impressive)

and you are right this is my first game and first game jam, i will improve this and take all the feedback, im fully aware of the UI issue and hopefully next version of this game or my feature game is more of what you like and enjoy

The core loop is so engaging that I played a bunch of runs without even really understanding all what I was doing.

I think this is the game with more potential among all the projects thatI tried in this jam (about 60) because it follows the design trends of the moment, but in a clever and innovative way.

My suggestion is to wait to add other mechanics, etc. and work on the UX/UI because at the moment it's what is preventing me to fully enjoy the experience (and from what I can see, this is also the opinion of other players).

It's not really mandatory to have good art skills, it's more something like replacing words with icons (instead of saying faith put the icon) and  make everything more readable (for example the table on the left has misaligns entries and it must be available for consultation while you take the new ghost).

Anyway really good concept, I'm a fan of this genre and you nailed it!

It's my first game jam too so if you try mine... let me know what you think!

Nice game. It was hard for me to understand it at first, but overall it is good.

This is a very cool concept, vibe is immaculate, and in the end I did enjoy my time with it.

But I've gotta say, the UI is what really limits you. It could be so much better if I didn't spend first few runs just figuring out what is what. I did for first few runs thought the little star in the middle is the faith and it totally confused me. Tutorial would solve it, but who wants a tutorial? have a little window that displays on hover next to the stats that will say "your current fuel" and "fuel cost for the next voyage" or something like that. Just let me know in other ways what actually happens any time I pick a passenger. A little animation next to the stats informing that you lost -1 faith when you picked this guy. Especially if we don't know one of the effects. Or when hovering on the Upgrade ship or buy fuel button - just a little pop up that informs me what will happen. I know the upgrade is a little mysterious and you don't know what will happen - but then just say this! have a little window that displays on hover and says that it "consumes random amount of faith for a random upgrade".

I think a lot of people would just stop playing because they don't understand what's going on, and that's just sad because there's much to enjoy here! :D

thank you for your feedback, this was my first experience and i enjoyed it, im a good programmer but my art skills.... well regardless im working on full version of this game which is going to be much better in every aspect.

Really interesting theme! A mysterious and dangerous voyage carrying lost souls is super intriguing.

The game is nice overall, though I feel the guide could be improved. For example, at first I thought some UI elements were clickable, and actually after a few stops I realized they weren't. But that didn't stop me enjoying! Game-jam works are always a bit rushed, aren't they? I’ll be looking forward to possible updates in the future.

I really like the music too—it fits perfectly and has a mysterious, enchanting vibe.

Took me a bit to figure out how to play the game, but once I did it was a lot of fun.

I like game mechanics. Game is fun!

Nice work for a solo dev

This Game was pretty fun and the Mechanics while simple are also pretty cool to play with. my only complain is the the Sailors should have more dialogues and types but for a Jam game this is superb. Also the music and the stopping at each stop reminded me of COD BO Zombies Mode. had fun. Rated :D
Also can you check out my game?

Cool idea. Can’t believe you pulled this off solo in just 7 days. I would appreciate it if you try our game and give it some comment to help us improve skill.

Once I understood how the gameplay loop worked, it was fun. With a bit more polish the idea could work even better, but I know the time struggles of a jam myself

Pretty fun game. Took me a little while to understand how to play but once I got it, it was pretty enjoyable. Music is good too.
