I love the concept and execution. The game is really fun. My only two complaints would be the performance because I had a noticeable hitch every few seconds and the moment where the audio looped was very clear and got a bit annoying after some time. Other than that the game looks awsome

Thanks for playing! Yeah that comes from the transparency on the meshes when the camera is behind it, the html version doesnt like that for some reason.

This was a really charming stealth game with a lot of personality. I loved the raccoon character design and the animations. The level design was well thought out and everything felt like it naturally belonged in the environment. It was great to see platforming integrated in a way that didn’t feel forced or out of place, and the movement felt good overall.

I did run into a few camera issues, especially near surfaces where there were occasional lag spikes. It seemed to happen when objects turned transparent, which might be worth looking into. There were also moments when the vision cone appeared to go through walls, and I felt like I was detected unfairly in some spots. For example, hiding behind the cereal boxes above the fridge didn’t seem to offer protection, even though it looked like it should.

Overall, this was a creative and fun take on the stealth genre with a lot of polish. Great work :)

Thanks for the feedback! I especially appreciate the level design compliments :) For the camera transparency issues, yeah we noticed that when uploading to itch, it ran fine in the IDE before exporting it. Not sure what exactly the issue was, but it was as simple logic as we could make it. Interesting, the cereal boxes are overlapped meshes with their own collision boxes and not one solid object, so I could see the raycast from the human slipping through those tiny cracks. I am glad you could tell they were cereal boxes though! Thank you for the kind words :)

Shout out Godot engine! I love my fellow Godot engine devs. My game was briefly to follow in this game's path... My "rat" character robbing a house in much the same manner. I'm happy to see that it made for a really solid game... For a solid three minutes, I really enjoyed being a raccoon stealing cookies. My only question is: who leaves cookies on the bathroom sink? ...in the bathtub? I suspect my questions will go unanswered. All-in-all, really good experience. One love ❤️

Thank you for playing! I am just picking up godot, and am liking it so far. Glad to see there are others out there that also use it! As for why there are cookies in the bathtub, just level design on a game jam timeline lol. Ideally we would have done a few more rooms and put more cookies in those rooms, but for the level design we didn't want an cookie-less room when there were only so few to explore. I appreciate your time spent playing our game! <3

Super fun! My laptop struggled a bit and caused some lag at points, but the gameplay is great! You could maybe make the bg music a little louder, or add an audio slider.
