How does the game fit the theme?
We went with risking being caught by the chef & his cat for baked goods (like biscuits / cookies).

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Though we made a few assets most are from other creators (full list below), however the two of us did all of the programming and designing.

That was fun and too short! I guess I should have stuck with cup cakes instead of grabbing the whole cake! lol

Enjoyed the concept! The core gameplay is quite fun, feels like a lot went into the movement mechanics. Would have loved the risk and tension to come from the human and cat being more reactive rather than a suspicion meter. Great work!

I really enjoyed this game! I initially clicked on it because I thought the title was funny (I don't know anything about the fall of the house of usher, but I do know a song with that exact title). Turns out the game was also neat as well! I will say, the game is quite jank, and the cat and chef never really posed too much of a risk (a timer might be a good idea? I'm not entirely sure, but I feel it might add more tension), but the spring-loaded gameplay was exactly what the doctor ordered. The SFX and aggressive launching visuals was incredibly satisfying, and the concept is so goofy and fun! Epic work, I'd really enjoy seeing a bigger version of this game (an endless mode would be most appreciated)!

Very fun - I enjoyed rummaging through the kitchen and causing general havoc :) It didn't feel like distracting the baker did anything, but I still somehow managed to feed my mouse family with a birthday cake.
