Game description:

"Alone at the edge of the world" is a fast paced bullet hell boss rush where you drive a tank.

It was a summer night, the last summer night. The sun set for the last time, leaving the entire world in perpetual darkness. Dangerous and deranged entities rose from the ground, leaving society in ruin. And all of this happened with you significant other being across the world. Now you need to cross the world to find them, battling these dangerous entities on the way, all alone at the edge of the world. Thankfully, with your experience in the military, you are able to enter and control a powerful tank, using it to destroy anything in your path.

The last song uses Vocaloid if you are into that. Enjoy the soundtrack!

The game takes place in "the ONE summer night" which is basically an apocalypse (perpetual darkness).

Great job, I liked Lord of Ice the most, but it was all interesting to listen too!

Love the energy and pulse your OST has, it does a great job of making me want to blast my way through a bunch of bosses in a tank! The vocaloid was a great touch, which one did you use? I really liked its timbre. Also, just out of curiosity, which tank did you imagine the player using? (If you had one in mind.) I really had fun listening to your music, thanks for sharing!

that's some good stuff. The post-apocalyptic and apocalyptic concepts are my beloved and the soundtrack itself sounds good. It feels a bit empty at the battles though for a bullet hell, I think more dynamics would make it perfect for such game.

This is the only vocaloid submition i have seen and it is an extremely quality project. loved the lyrics and  the story to so greath job!!

Really solid OST and concept! The tracks fit the fast-paced bullet hell gameplay perfectly, and the use of motifs and Vocaloid adds a lot of energy and personality. The dark take on the theme over the warm or nostalgic vibes is exactly what I believe you were going for, so great on that. My only note is that the connection to “One Summer Night” still feels a bit loose, but the music itself is excellent and super engaging. Nice Job!

The overall vibe for bullet hell fits pretty well, especially for "Lord of Ice" and "Guardian of The Fire". "Hand of The Night" feels like it builds up a little too slowly, but I feel like the elements are all there to  make it a solid bop. Vocaloid works really well here and brings some nice variety to the soundtrack!

"At the end/edge of the world" was a cool concept, but it feels like they fell a little short impact-wise. I would have developed a bit more of a theme in the first track, maybe with a subtle piano or synth playing high notes to keep the focus on the feeling of awe and weight of being at the end of the world. This would give you a bit more room to build on in the fourth track.

Overall, the soundtrack has a very consistent sound to it and is pretty cohesive. The bullet hell tracks all bop pretty hard. Solid work overall!

Yukaikino is right and now all I hear in the final song is Golden.

This was a fun listen! I liked Lord of Ice and Guardian of Fire the best as I liked their energy the most.

There needs to be a place where you put the lyrics because I couldn't understand a word of it lol.

I love that the sound pallette stayed relatively the same

The vocals at the end of the last song really drove the intensity of the song up, which was a nice touch! I also liked how I was easily able to piece out the motif that persisted through the OST! Good work!

Very cool setting you've created, it really does feel straight out of a bullet hell!

Love the instrumentation, mixing a clavichord with synths and a breakcore drum line feels awesome! And the use of leitmotifs worked really well even when doing some more high paced tracks!

"Lord Of Ice" and "Hand Of The Night" were my favorites! The first I really liked the melody and the second really gave off that calm boss theme that is the complete opposite in terms of gameplay!

Also, cool to see someone else use a vocal synth (although I used mine in a more textural kind of way)!

(And also, also, just noticed that we both don't bother coloring and naming our tracks in Cubase lol!)

Great Job!

This is really cool! I like the choir sounding stuff in Guardian of The Fire! The drums are also really well done throughout!! I enjoyed listening to this!

HELPPP is it just me or the end track sounds like the golden part im done hiding now im shining

i also agree with @cuttablesam that the track in the first sound could be more smoother, i was shocked cause i had my headphones in HIGH but regardless of that, nice melodies and i like the use of vocaloid!

Omg I love the way the theme was present throughout all the tracks. I especially loved the last one it reminded me of Star Vs. The Forces of Evil!

Submitted

I love the vocals of the last song! the quality was great and the instruments were lovely!

All around just a really great ost, although I felt like 'At the edge of the world' needed less articulation on the plucking and just overall softer to match how the arrangement was written.

I’m not super familiar with electronic music, so this totally surprised me! But now I’m hooked and really want to dive deeper into it. 'Lord Of Ice' is great, and I really vibed with it.

woah hello chromatic movement in the opening wait i love this already the chord progression is FIRE

I really like how the second track sounds melodically similar to the intro with the stabs that eventually progress into a more advanced and accelerated melody with support from the drums!!! Super intense and fitting of your theme!

woaa i love the drums in the third song... especially combined with the harpsichord and synth singing over it. the percussion go crazy i'm obsessed, it adds a great deal of support with the repeating arpeggiating motif in the melody! truly fire

oooh little harpsichord solo... i noticed immediately the nod to the original track with the chord stabs in the background!!! this track feels very reflective, and while the melodic line is repetitive, it's not boring at all and is definitely fitting for a video game OST! the chromaticism really builds that tension too!

ooo hellooooo final boss i saw u used vocaloid and im sooo excited!!!! i really like your use of repetitive motives in each track that never seem to get old. you're always developing them and adding new texture to it every time a phrase repeats. omg i love the addition of the vocaloid too!!! i'm actually in love with this last track it's so gorgeous and i love the percussion supporting it that gradually increases in intensity every time the vocaloid chimes in. the arpeggiating synth in the background is fire too!!!

hope you appreciated my word vomit this is #fire and i love your concept!!!

Listened intently

A desolate feeling soundtrack with quite a lot of potential. I headbanged a bit to Lord of Ice 🤘🏽

Developer
