impressive work, great art and twist. Only small criticism i have is that the hitbox and animation of the attacks dont really fit.

Developer

Yeaaaa... I budged it at the end to make it easier because I wanted people to have an easy enough time getting through the game or people might not wanna paly.

Great twist! Also really loved the atmosphere and the snowing effect

Thanks for the feedback!

Cool game. Missing coyotetime? :)

Developer

I have coyote time but I might have set it to be too strict. I bet if i took it away it would be noticable but currently it's not forgiving enough.

The pixel art is nice, and the game itself is fun. I just had trouble understanding the range of my attacks, and I felt like there wasn’t enough feedback when getting hit

Developer

Yea, I wish I could have added a better indicator. Originally I had the slash effect be a good representation but then it was too difficult to kill the enemies if you didn't know their weak spot (sneak up on them). I ended up just increasing the attack range and didn't have time for a better indicator or maybe a small slash projectile.

really cool i have my full review on your games page :)

Developer

Thanks a ton!

Great twist! Also really loved the atmosphere and the snowing effect. The movement was a bit too fast/floaty for my liking.

Thanks for the feedback!

Great looking game and such a lovely twist!

Before and after the twist shows nicely such different mechanics!

From the ones I played up until now, this is also the only one that really feels like it has capitalized on the prerequisite!

The only annoyance, and this is fully my own dumb fault. It took me ages to find the last guy... xD

A really great game, currently my favorite in this game jam. I especially want to highlight the graphics. Need more food… :)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I'm so happy you conpleted the game. I wish i had more time to polish up stuff like the ending.

Such a good game! loved the art  aesthetic and gameplay. Very nice twist as well :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I was keeping the theme and twist in mind for development. Even though I wanted to use "night" better I still feel like my pun like nature of a game fits it alright.

Submitted

I agree, it fits very well!

Submitted(+1)

Oh that was very fun! I was not expecting that smooth transformation after reaching the 'checkpoint', that took me by surprise lol that was so good. I liked the duality of having to dodge all the enemies as the knight since his sword does little damage and then changing to a beast/assassin that hunts everybody and is more powerful. Superb little game, well done :D

Developer(+1)

I put in so much work and there was a list of stuff that I had to forgo because I didn't have time. Everything was made by me, art, music, etc.

Great presentation, I like the graphics and the lighting, I feel like some quality of life improvements such as a hud element for how many flags you have collected/need would be great.

Developer

There is one at the end of the level where you need them. But I hear you and I understand. I was working up till the wire to get something like this done. Thanks for the feedback!

Submitted

No problem, I was working down to the wire too so I understand lol.  And fr I really like the atmosphere, it's nice and cozy I still have the game open right now in the background, it makes for great wall paper.

oh no :( your game has a bug please fix it real quick

something is worng with the collisions or the jump function on it's own but the player floats mid air.

I hope you will see this so i can give you a fair review that you deserve :)

Developer(+1)

Yes, thank you! I have been trying so hard to figure this out!! I JUST FOUND IT AND FIXED IT THOUGH. If you don't mind giving my game a real try I would really appreciate it! Expect a WebGL version coming in the next hour!
