How did you implement the theme?
Corruption run rife in the police force, bribery is a big problem. Now you are part of that problem.
How did you add the special object?
The game over scene has a sad twist that contains the object.

Tis a fun idea. I have to admit, though, I died a few times trying to frogger across the road before I realised what I was doing.
I was curious, though, if there's any point in letting people off with a warning? I wasn't sure if I would maybe get caught for soliciting bribes if I was doing it to literally every car.
What isn't clearly explained in the game is that there is a 1/5 chance that you will get shot every round.
I put the option of "letting them go" there so that if you feel unlucky on that attempt, you can let them go.
I like your idea, like a boss police man that shows up randomly and you can just let them go or maybe even risk sharing the bribe with him :)
I could have stopped the same car and ask for bribes infinite amount of times, and the bribes didn't add to the money counter.
I spot the infinite stopping bug. Thanks for pointing this out.
But, from the money perspective, you had to go pick up the cash that they threw around the screen.
Oh that explains a lot! At first I thought I had to click it. Also you could set the parameter in the CharacterBody2D node from grounded to floating so the player doesn't slow down when pushing against a wall. (I believe this game was made in godot I'm sorry if not)
Thanks for that feedback. You are right, it was made in godot.
I am fairly new to making games and decided to join jams so that I can experiment and build "random" ideas to force myself to learn with a deadline. I will check out this "floating" param and update the game. Very much appreciated.
Keep at it man! Game dev is hard but also very fun and rewarding. Good luck on future game jams and future projects!
"was daddy a bad man" killed me lmao
