Beautiful finished game. Calming and cozy atmosphere and music.

I had sometimes the cat playing or sleeping while still have a plate fo cookies with her - not sure if this was wanted.

Nevertheless really cute game.

that's the intended behaviour <3

Saw your community most, one of the best polished games I've played all jam, insane work for two people! Loved the art style and voice acting as well, I could absolutely see myself playing a "full" version of this (I'm sure there's some stuff you guys couldn't add for the jam). I agree with the last commenter about just quality of life things like that, a grid based system always just feels better for me personally as I just like things being perfectly placed. Great job guys!

I enjoyed the game a lot!
It was polished pretty well for a game made in a week, and I finished the game until the very end.
If you ever want to continue its development after the jam, I would recommend adding a grid pattern for placing the stations, the ability to remove a station but at the cost of not getting any of the money(sweets) you spent to buy it back, having the stations be upgraded instead of more cats, and maybe have the player a bit more involved with everything so it's not putting something down and just waiting for it to help you reach a milestone to do something else...
overall, I gave relatively high ratings in all criterias since it's pretty well done!

thanks! I really enjoyed your game too!!

I absolutely love the voice acting at the start of the game, it makes this game sit out from the rest. The banner art piece to the webpage is a highlight as well as the overall artstyle to the game. The cat animations are very cute and fun. The Programming side of things seems quite intricate behind the scenes as everything seems to work very nicely and is very responsive.

I had a bug later in the game that i couldnt place the heart cookie station even though i had enough space and the needed payment methode. But overall its a really great atmosphere and nice artwork.

Developer

that's odd, we never encountered this while testing and no one has mentioned not being able to place a station. hmmmm, was it just like a permeant red outline where you wanted to place it?

Very well-designed game. The atmosphere was great and fit the mechanics nicely. The progression felt good and fair. I did run into an issue where I wanted to delete a baking station but couldn’t find a way to do that. Otherwise, it’s a very relaxing game!

Developer(+1)

lol yeah there's no way to delete them 😭

You are the first person to mention it though ahahaha

Thanks for playin!

This was a very well rounded game!  No notes on art, animations, UI, music, or SFX.  All right where they ought to be.  The factory tech tree and economy all felt very fair and things kept moving along at a good pace.  The only obstruction I encountered was figuring out which cats were doing which things, since I often had several supply lines going and it was hard to tell which cats were off playing vs. idle.  A gentle highlight of whatever input/output stations the selected cat is assigned would probably fix this right up.  Pretty much everything else was great.

Fantastic work!

Developer

i fully agree! It would be great to have the job that the cat is doing be highlighted!

To be totally honest I didn't bother spending time implementing that because I didn't know if people would even get to the point in the game where they have lots of cats and supply lines ahahah

Thanks for playing so much of it I guess is what Im trying to say

Really nice and cozy game :D

I love the art, and I'm amazed as to how you made this in just a week :0

After finishing the game, I got curious if there was a limit to the amount of cats you could buy >:3

There was also this bug where it would show multiple items, if you selected another item before placing the first one.

Anyways, really fun and addictive game with some of the best art I've seen until now :)

Developer(+1)

holy moly thats a lot of cats!

We never found that bug! Good catch!

I'm not entirely sure what's causing, probably need to make sure if the player has something selected you can't touch anything else. Lots of little logic bits all working together

Thank you for complete our game! (And stress testing it, wowzer so many cats)
