this is fuckin cinema man, my ADHD ass would pay for a full version.  Good job!  The card game is crazy hard though.  They always get 3 face cards.

Thanks a lot for playing, glad you enjoyed it! I don't understand why because the card game is designed to be in your favor but for whatever reason the opponent just keeps winning it's really strange.

it's cuz the house always wins baby

I cannot believe how much content there is in this game, and how polished it is at that! Well done! Gotta get me one of those machines irl lmao

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing! Yes, let the gambling consume you...

Hey, this was really cool! I love the two-stage sort of switching back and forth between the gambling and the combat thing. The visual style was pretty neat, and the music helped build a sense of immersion between the two parts of the game. I felt pretty immersed in the whole thing and overall it was a pretty cool experience. There might have been something I missed, but my only feedback is that I wasn't sure how to set my sensitivity at the beginning since I couldn't tell how the sensitivity felt until I got into a fight, but that wasn't a big deal. Nice job!

Thanks for playing! Yeah I forgot to mention that if you hit escape you get a menu for that stuff and some people also didn't realize that you can sprint in the fight scene. Otherwise I'm glad you liked it!

I see the aesthetic, its there, and I quite like it, the use of the Balatro background and Buckshot Roulette even though they are borrowed do fit well enough, I would love to see a better take on the entire Win95 UI tho, since it could look better and more cohesive. Its quite hard to understand although it is quite fun and very chaotic, I really like how many games you put into one (I managed to do basically 2 mini-games in mine in a similar manner of them being the main gameplay loop), great job especially since you worked on this alone!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for the feedback! Yeah I was kind of running short on time and I just had to use the first things that came to mind. If I decide to continue this game I'd definitely figure out a more cohesive style and actually try and understand how to use shaders. Those things are still mystery formulas to me. I played your game as well and it's definitely one of my favorites of the jam, I hope you continue to work on it!

Submitted(+1)

Dont worry I also dont get shaders yet, I used a really good pre-made CRT shader from the Godot asset store

How many games in one did you want to build?!

This is chaos; I found it super stressful, but perhaps that was the idea!

Great idea, and you can tell a lot of effort went into this. Well done!

Developer(+1)

Haha yeah when I was coming up with ideas for what to make I decided to combine 2 different ideas into one which made my scope a lot to handle but I was able to manage the load by pulling one all-nighter lol. Glad that you had an interesting time with it, and yes it's supposed to be fairly stressful.

OMG so much happening. Nice One! I'm no good at stocks but fighting saved me.

Developer

Yeah the whole reason for having a bunch of different things is so that no matter what you can still find one thing that you can gamble everything for with it feeling fair. Thanks for playing!

Cool concept. Great Job.

Developer

Thanks!

Damn this concept is absolutely insane in the best way possible amazing job!

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!

Really enjoyed the Cruelty Squad stock stuff, and the combat is a fun way to mix up the gameplay and inject some fresh tension. Pretty unique gameplay loop.  It'd be nice to see this format a little more fleshed out, but really enjoyed it

Thanks for playing! Something I might end up doing in the future is dabbling with multiplayer and for this game it would make quite a bit of sense.

It reminded me a lot of games, a really original mashup!

Developer

Thanks a lot for the comment!

Submitted

i agree this also reminds me of games

Very cool concept, great work!

Developer

Thanks!

Pure fun and chaos gambling on one page, managing stocks, playing cards, and suddenly finding yourself on the battlefield. It’s confusing but also very entertaining!

For a jam, it turned out to be a great game, and I really enjoyed playing it!

Developer

Thanks a ton!

I liked the game, it reminded me of Cruelty Squad.

Developer

Yeah Cruelty Squad is one of my favorite games ever made and the stock market design is one to one lol

Dude this is my favourite game from the entire gamejam, the combat feels inconsistent but who the hell cares. THIS GAME HAS GAMBLING AND STOCK EXCHANGE, THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE IT BETTER IS TO ADD DRUGS

Damn thanks for the comment, means a lot to me. Makes sense that combat is kinda bad, was my first time making it. My next game will probably a pure FPS to hone in on that.

Wow there's a lot of content here! I love how you've got gambling, stocks, and shooting all together haha. Nice job

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!
