How does the game fit the theme?
My game’s system turns risk into reward. Mine gold, then gamble it on upgrading the pickaxe. Early upgrades are safe, starting in mid tiers can drop a level, and can even break your pickaxe. Tiered mines amplify this: going in early lowers gold per minute, but pushing a new tier pays off hard. It’s “risk it for the biscuit” every time you hit Enhance.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Most of the environment art and UI came from pre-existing asset packs, but all gameplay and system code was written from scratch for this jam.

Cannot believe how much time i put in this game, awesome work!
Good job finishing the jam! Just some feedback, clicking is pretty slow and repetitive. Could feel strain on my fingers playing this. Maybe make it so you can just hold down the mouse button or spacebar instead of having to spam them? Otherwise good job!
I like the gameplay
Cool game. I liked the risk mechanic with enhancing. More animations with the mining would help the overall game feel (pick swings, rock jitter) but overall nice job.

Actually spent quite a bit of time on this one and maxed out the pickaxe! Neat concept overall.
I like the gatcha-game idea of spending gold for a random upgrade! I would make the delays between mining clicks smaller, since I felt held back by not being able to spam my mouse clicks. Overall interesting concept!
Interesting idea, but there’s not much content yet. It would also be nice to add UI sounds and adjust the ones that are already there. The soundtrack is good, but the mining sounds don’t really resemble hitting stone — they sound more like something liquid. Also, the fountain water sound cuts off too abruptly.
The upgrade mechanic does not feel very good. When you get to the point where you're more likely to downgrade than upgrade your pick, it really just feels like you're tossing money away, and for very little benefit.
