How does the game fit the theme?
Every round, the player can risk it for the biscuit and upgrade one part, but have to fight more enemies. Or they can leave it. The player also can take soft risks as well, such as by leaving an explosive part on the edge of their ship where it is at risk, but this may be the only way to safely attach the part.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?

This game is actually so addicting. Also nice touch how the music gets more intense as the levels progress.
What to say... I spent an hour on a single run. I could write a whole story around the last recruit holding the single level 1 turret that was the very first one through the whole 27th round for 20 minutes... only to die tragically at the start of the 28th.
From the 10th round onward, it gets HARD. Enemies spawn out of sight, firing at you immediately, threatening to split your ship in half in a matter of seconds. Shields we're the single thing keeping me alive when i had some.
I feel like knowing what upgrading does for each module would help a lot in developing the ship through the rounds, but as you can tell, i had a blast anyway.
I think I'm gonna go play some more, just to avenge that legendary recruit...
A great game with a cool concept! Easy to get started with lasting gameplay! 👍🏻
Pretty neat mechanic, i enoyed the feeling of getting more powerfull and bigger ship with every round, good job.
