Something about the humble melodica surrounded by a swarm of instruments on the title track was really heartfelt and beautiful to me. It is very climactic and I love the slightly clumsy duet that comes afterward... so cute...

Great work! Really beautiful compositions, consistent but varied, and I'm a big fan of the leitmotif you came up with. The synth sound that starts off midnight, memory, melancholy hits just right for me. Last Dance With You really nails the feel of the couple learning to play one song well as beginner musicians. I always like a melodica, though it comes in a little harsh in the title track.

I high marked every single category because: I could feel the -heart- going in it and the tracks having a distinct personality.  There's some submissions so far where things are orchestrally majestic and it shows technical proficiency no doubt, like they're art students in college compared to me juggling a 9-5, but they're too -uniformly- majestic like everything's Equally Momentous and I just wanted to say you know when to dial it back.  I especially liked the care taken to do distinct phrasing on Sunset Facing East.

Super happy with this submission.

Gave you an itch follow, if you like the thing(s) on my page(s), consider doing the same.

Cheers!

This sound track is gorgeous! Beyond good. You made something that has feel and depth yet is not to silly or loud. Everything is just perfect! The theme and each song just fit so well together. Beautiful! You blew me away with this one, that is for sure. Bravo!

Wow, gorgeous work. Such a warm, gentle, sincere OST, it was lovely to listen to. I did think the melodica was a tad bit too assertive in the "at summer's end", but otherwise I really had a great time listening to this music. The development in the fourth track was just wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing!

I loved the way you developed the music here! The 4th track was beautifully done and was my favorite :) Great work!

I had an amazing time and you reused your main leitmotif so well. It felt incredibly coherent and I have nothing to say, add or change, it's an amazing OST, and at summer's end was just gorgeous!

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

feels somber, atmospheric, and glacial. this is harmonically super up my alley, i really appreciate what you're doing here. the chaos of the composition towards the end of at summer's end hits really hard. thanks for sharing :)

Thanks for the kind words!

This is very successful at setting the intended vibe and atmosphere. Although for me "midnight, memory, melancholy"  leans more towards a chill scene again, rather than dramatic, but is a great track nonetheless. Really like "at summer's end" as well. Nicely produced and executed!

Sweet and subtle! The last two tracks hit hardest imo, especially given their shared leitmotifs and the lush, engaging instrumentation throughout

Developer

Thanks! I'm glad the last two tracks felt impactful!

This is a simple but effective and emotional soundtrack. The first two tracks are my favorite as they're well-balanced and I could drown in them. I don't really have critiques at all, the only nitpick I can think of is I'm not sure about the snare tone in "at summer's end" but that's it.

I can certainly imagine the last track being used as a subtle punch to the gut of the story. Great submission.

Sunset facing east is such a cool title for a track. I like titles like that where they wax poetic a lot.

Midnight Memory Melancholy was probably my favorite one. It reminded me of Monkey ball music when the drums kicked in.

At least for me, the clarinet in at summers end was really loud and felt like it was clipping a little. The parts without the clarinet sounded really good though. And it sounded a lot more reasonable in last dance with you. it felt like it was at the perfect volume in that one.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! It's actually a melodica, not a clarinet! But yeah the sound came out a bit more harsh than I wanted - I definitely recorded a little too close to the mic lol

Last dance with you is a really good idea, really fitting with the theme too : a real highlight IMO !

Very relaxing. My favorite was "sunset facing east"--you did a good job portraying the sentimentality with the music. I think a slightly more involved bass-line in "at summer's end" would have elevated that piece even more. Good work!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. I definitely agree about the bass line!

The music conveys the story in a very effective way. I felt myself moved by this non-existent couple and their bittersweet life together. Beautiful!
