"FINALLY, another electric piano enjoyer!" I thought as I lost myself listening to the Beach, Dusk. The choirs used during the halfway mark are absolutely beautiful.

Halcyon Docks is usually not the type of song I enjoy, but the few minor chords thrown here and there made it a really interesting listen. I enjoyed the celesta at the end quiet a lot.

Next comes Under the Summer Stars, the return of the electric piano, playing Halcyon Docks' melody along with what I can only describe as the sound of Orcas crying in the background, which sounds really cool tbh. (probably my favourite song honestly lol)

Saltmarsh made me understand this soundtrack's biggest strenght: Creating an atmosphere, making you feel like you're actually walking in the areas the songs describe. Saltmarsh felt like I was scourging through the beach, discovering secrets that had been burried for a long, long time. The bass that plays along with the marimba is really good, I love it.

Boiling Brine was good, it's basically Saltmarsh with a drum beat and a few instrument changes, but it works and does its job well. I prefer that over a battle theme completely disconnected from the area theme lol.

Submerged Secrets sounds like we've just uncovered something big, something underwater. Showcasing how one might feel before delving deep into the ocean.

Aestival delivers on what Submerged Secrets seems to imply, it reminded me of Zelda dungeon themes a lot. The strings that start playing around 1:50 minutes in are really nice.

Bringer of the Tides reuses the previous song's main melody really well, as one readies themselves for a great battle. I like the minimal use of percussion the start, really ups the tension as it all comes crashing down with the electric guitar. These songs really feel like they would compliment gameplay really well, even if they're still good as individual experiences.

Return to the sea is triumphant yet calm, quietly appreciating our victories as we make our way back home.

The Beach, Dawn, which uses the same melody from its younger sibling, feels like recollection. We take a look at all of our previous actions and past trials one last time before moving on with our lives. Cool stuff.

Overall I liked the sountrack, a lot of songs were pretty long but they managed to stay interesting nonetheless. Could really see this used for a game and working really well.

Well done.

A hidden jewel in a sea of submissions. This is an excellently composed and produced orchestral soundtrack, which suits the story very well. Each track drew me into the concept of the game and complemented each other. Incredible work!

I like the synths you used, such as the one in the background of The Beach, Dusk and Submerged, which really adds some more interest an already good song. On Saltmarsh, I like the slow crescendo over the whole song. Aestial is also great.

I can tell this had to have had a lot of work put into it to polish it this much in such a small time. Good job

The ethereal atmosphere you create in The Beach, Under the Summer Stars, Salt Marsh, and Submerged Secrets, pull me from the mundane and into your mystical town by the sea. Your imaginative names for each track help paint the setting for each of the wondrous places that you guide us through. An adventure awaits in each of these lovely gems.

Very nice work. The consistent sonic palette does a lot to create a sense of place, and the shared melodic ideas help convey the overarching narrative. The mixes are all pleasant to listen to. I especially like Halcyon Docks and the cutscene tracks.

There's a lot of cool stuff in the two wetlands tracks. I think the ostinato works really well to create tension, and the lyre (?) melody is nice. I wonder if it might benefit from a little more variation during the buildup to that melody - maybe just little added bits of texture along the lines of the violin squeals (?) from Aestival in the exploration theme, or some quick melodic elaborations over top of the battle theme. Boiling Brine especially feels like it might benefit from having a little more space filled - maybe the double time feel makes the melody seem sparser and the sparser parts seem longer.

Bringer of the Tides! I love the composition, and the drama of the time changes. The only thing I want is more guitar. They add a cool new texture and give it the feel of a climactic moment, but they're kind of fizzy and buried in the mix. I want big chunky chugs right up in my ears!

Awesome submission!

It's a really cohesive, well-written, whole-ass soundtrack. Excellent work! I would, however, like to know why I'm fighting a primordial greek goddess of the sea, js.

Dawg PLEASE put submissions on a streaming service of some kind. Having to download and then individually select each track is mildly annoying!

That wont affect my ranking though so don't worry.

As for the music, I really want more info than just "The story takes place at and around the beach over the course of one night." That's the bare minimum of connecting to the theme. Tell me why you chose the instruments you chose and what orchestration techniques you used to match the vibes you were going for.

Saltmarsh had a really cool vibraphone backing track and it reminded me of old creepy point and click style games which was cool. What VST did you use for it?

The whole OST is really nice and well made. But give me more info next time I want to hear your thoughts on your own music.

hell yeah, really impressive to have made so much in such a short time and have it still all feel so polished and cohesive

That’s amazing! Submissions with basically a full soundtrack done still amaze me! I especially loved all the tracks labeled with scenes and the boss theme! Awesome job!

This submission was a great listen. Your soundtrack covers a really wide range of scenarios which makes the whole thing feel very complete, and the quality of your tracks speak for themselves. I really liked the range of instruments you used for tracks such as 'Boiling Brine'. Makes me wish I could read a more fleshed out description of the game this soundtrack is for.  Thanks for sharing!

Fantastic and comprehensive soundtrack, pulled straight out of a game. Makes me wish I had more time to do transitional pieces and such like your soundtrack has. Great job!
