I liked this a lot. I love a platformer and the puzzle aspect was well done. It felt quite polished. I thought you could have increased the risk with the concept of fall damage, to make you really feel the risk of those drops. I's also have liked more interesting artwork but now I'm being picky. Overall a very good game for a solo dev. Good luck in the jam!

The fall damage is a great idea. Thanks for playing!

Cool game! I like how the gates require the exact amout of cookies to open and close. That allows for some interesting ideas if you were to make more levels.

Developer

Thanks. I didn't have much time to make more levels sadly.

Great concept. Would love to play more puzzles. Keep refining it and you have something cool here!

Developer

Thanks!

I love the concept behind the game. The puzzles were fun, and challenging in a good way.

However, I think some works need to be done introducing the gimmick of this game to the player. It took me a bit to realized how cookies effect player movement. I later realized it also says in the description, but something in game would have been nice.

Overall, the idea was cool. Good job!

Thanks! I thought that people would check the itch page more before playing but it isn't the case. However thanks for the review.

I really enjoyed the puzzles and there were many mechanics to make the levels feel pretty distinct, just a few bugs here and there but it's pretty normal for a jam, nonetheless you did really well with this game, nice job!

Developer

Thanks, I feel that the game is not in the greatest state too.

This is fun puzzle game! I really love the concept and the level progression and difficulty was gradual as you complete each level.

Quick feedback:

  • The controls felt tight and felt good. I was a little surprised how you couldn't jump at all when holding two biscuits, I thought I'd have a tiny bit of a jump considering you can still jump fairly high with one biscuit.
  • I wasn't sure how to play or do anything until I read what was on the actual game page. I think it would be helpful to have the controls in-game as a simple tutorial.

Bugs I encountered:

  • When I put down the biscuits on the moving platform, I couldn't pick them up at all. I was essentially spamming the pick up button until it worked.
  • The last level with three biscuits, I had all three by the exit, however I couldn't pick up the third one. Again, I spammed the pick up button until it worked.

Overall, great job for putting this game together! I enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to more levels if you decide to expand a little bit more on the game!

Thanks for the feedback. I knew about the bug with not being able to pick biscuits up, but I couldn't fix it.

I found this to be a tricky game!  I like the concept but I wasn't able to get very far lol  Nice art :-)

Developer

Thanks!

cool game! It actually reminds me of a gmtk game jam winner not long ago. I love how the similarities of the art styles between this game and that is a result of trying to keep things simple and fast. I suppose simplicity breeds creativity? I can't think of a less cringe way of describing it. I enjoyed the puzzles around hitting switches whilst preventing softlocks and picking up a buscuit too soon.

The art style was inspired by the GMTK winner. I really liked the visuals and thought I would give it a chance. Thank you for review!
