Holyyy that is cool! Took me a bit to figure out what's going on and I think for the moment there's a bit too many mechanics at play that I pretty much could just ignore (stuff like taking things that the guards didn't request for and just in general getting -rep). Art style is fantastic and the music and sound design is really good!
Thanks so much man really appreciate it! Yeah for a person completely new to the game it is definitely overwhelming and you can loose quickly without really understanding why (I hope the basic introduction atleast gave a good hint)
DAMN! This is the best game I have played this jam, so good, the intensity is just right, the theme, the sounds, the visuals everything is finite and bueno! 10/10 from me!
Thanks so much man, really appreciate it!
5//5 on all categories, this game is actually amazing, the artstyle, the game, everything is great, and awesome, love it, expand on it please.
Thanks so much man! I am indeed planning on making this a full fledged game
Okay, the lore here is much more from you can see from the first glance. Nice touch that you have credits at first, the sound designer is definitely worth a praise
Thanks so much! Yeah whenever I asked him for a specific sound he absolutely delivered, same with soundtrack, cooked very hard. Regarding credits, it might be they are at first, or maybe at the end depending on how you look at it :D (lol here I just mean that when you finish the game in any way and retry it it puts you back to the credits)
Fellow game about sacrificing sanity, hell yeah. A bit confusing to play at first but eventually I got it. Pretty interesting concept.
The game is really unique, but is has it's pros and cons
Pros
1. Unique Guard and getting chips mechanics. I do love how guard implemented visually, great idea.
2. Visual effects, especially ones that comes after you drove insane
3. Narrative. I love a story in any game, even if it's only a few words at the start
Cons
1. UI bugs. Inventory and Stats button can be clicked in a very small area at the bottom of these buttons. Since everything's under time pressure, It's really annoying to navigate in UI
2. You forget what to do. The problem comes both in given quest and in main gameplay. After a few game days you completely forgets what item you should bring to gangsters. In gameplay, after a several failed tries to get the item you forget the line you actually need to draw to take the item.
Also the game is challenging, but it I don't think it is a con, I still beat it, though some run got me tilting
Great job anyway, keep it up man!
Hey thanks for the feedback! Hmm its really weird that youve experienced that with the buttons for me and everybody else they are normally pressable, but I guess you can also use shortcuts [Z, X] to switch between tabs)
Regarding point 2 I was considering adding something like that, but ultimately didnt have time and decided that also it might be part of the game to remember the item, but yeah I can totally see that this should be a thing. But I dont actually get the last part, wdym forget the line, you need to always just draw a circle around the item, nothing changes between the items ;)
(on the web build the performance is pretty bad so if you go too fast (like I do lol) its gonna mess with your shape)
Really solid! The vibes are absolutely present, and the gameplay was pretty fine-tuned. Standalone it's not the most engaging, but this would be a fantastic supplement to larger game. Good balance of item management, time pressure, and little microgames to extract/install.
Thanks so much! (I am indeed considering making this a more fleshed out game in the future)
This is my favourite one so far, I really like this
