Description
Lamplight follows a girl ready to leave her small beach town, only to uncover a mystery that changes everything. The tracks are a mix of the main character's discovery of pieces and some elements of flashback, with sinister undertones.
The main motifs center around the titular track, Lamplight, and the second track, ballerina. Ballerina is meant to evoke an old jewelry box left on the beach years ago, and is a central part of the mystery the player is set up to solve.

Thank you all so much for your kind comments and feedback!!
I wasn’t sure I’d get any views, since I posted last-last-minute, so I am very happy to see so many people liked the tracks. I really enjoyed putting this together!
In the future, I will work toward fleshing out the concept more alongside track development. I put a priority on putting something out there since I haven’t posted in a while…this was a great way to get out of that rut and the encouragement here helps too!
I definitely hear the mystery theme shine through here which is awesome! Reminds me a lot of a DS era game, which I love! Nice work!
I like how each track is tied together with similar motifs, that and the overall sound gives me a good visual of what this game might look like. I was caught off guard (in a good way) by the time signature in "wicked thoughts", I wish it was longer!
I like the way the music box slows down. I assume you did that to imitate how wind up music boxes will slow down as the wound part begins to reach its resting position again.
I also liked the chord progression in Keep it at bay. Very cool! It was also reused in Cute trick and the finale and I want to know why for storytelling purposes.
I would have liked more description on the theme connection. Just simple stuff like why you chose specific instruments and how they fit the setting to you. That kind of thing makes music more engaging for me. It never hurts to add IMO.
This doesn't have overwhelming symphonic blaring in it so it already is halfway to a good vote from me, and let me further add every track on this has a very strong distinct personality which is a core storytelling plus.
Very very impressed.
Gave you an itch follow, if you like the thing(s) on my page, consider doing the same.
Cheers!

Ballerina is right up my alley, I really like that one. I want to sing and play lyre to that theme and harmonize to it in Dorian.
I love the vibe overall. Great work!
:O let me know if you do, that would be so cool!!
I enjoyed the tracks and their quality because they evoke that old ps1 or GBA sort of feel. Good work my dude!
Interesting idea! Very 8 bit and chill vibe. Great work, and making 9 tracks!!! Oh my gosh. I wish I had the time you had to make nine. That last track was really good! The only thing that I want to add, is that you might want to change up the instrument sets for a few of the songs next time. It was really good, but having the same instrument as the lead for all of the songs could get annoying. Great work and listen!
A really great soundtrack, I don't have any criticisms of what you've got, there are some strong ideas here! It's great that you got so many tracks down but as is I feel like some of them need some more developement to make it a stand out soundtrack. I would love to see what you come up with twice the amount of time to work on each track! I think composition is fine, just want more developement of ideas and layers to some of the tracks to give them more punch and emotion! Tbf I'm a massive hypocrite for telling you to spend more time on less tracks cause I did 12 lol
A nice and enjoyable piece of work.
You really did explore a full story; kudos for getting nine tracks out, each with it's own little story to tell. Ballerina, in all its simplicity is probably my favourite track of all and the one that fits the theme to tee.
Would be curious to know what the DAW is ?
Thank you! Reply’s a bit late but as another commenter mentioned I used Jummbox and Ultrabox as my DAWs–Ultrabox being built off Jummbox and Beepbox, all in-browser. I’m glad you found Ballerina so enjoyable!
Man, it's been a whiiiiile since I've heard anything on beepbox (ultrabox in this case?) definitely an interesting choice. I wouldn't say I really enjoy its instruments but you did pretty well with what you had
Thinking really has those Ace Attorney vibes that are hard to replicate, props for that
To me Ballerina and Undigging were standouts, especially Undigging, probably my favourite of the bunch after Finale
I liked how Cute Track transitioned into Finale, which was a really good way to end this soundtrack. At first I wasn't sure whether I liked the main leitmotif or not, but Finale really used it beautifully, and it transitioned really well into Ballerina's.
It was definitely enjoyable. The only track I didn't enjoy that much was the first one, the notes and melodies were alright, but I'm not a big fan of the instruments used? Especially for the main lead that plays from start to finish. I'll chalk it up to Ultrabox's limited soundbank.
Had a good time overall, keep composing!
A pleasant little soundtrack, although I feel that the composition wasn't the strongest, I can see the work put into it and I hope you continue to improve!
PS. Huge respect for creating through jumm/ultrabox
Very cute!
I liked ballerina the most :)
