Free Roguelite RPG Ascent Spire – Hoping for feedback from overseas players

Hi everyone,

I’m an indie developer from Japan. Together with my wife, we created a game called Ascent Spire — a roguelite RPG featuring text-based exploration and real-time action battles with swipe controls.

We originally released the game on Google Play, and I also added English support using GPT. But I’m not confident if the translation really feels natural, and so far, almost no one from outside Japan has downloaded the game. Honestly, it makes me feel a bit lonely.

That’s why I’m sharing it here on itch.io — hoping that players overseas might discover it, try it, and let me know what they think.

 About the game
  • Explore a mysterious tower through text-adventure style events
  • Engage in real-time battles using tap, swipe, guard, and backstep
  • Face tough enemies, make risky choices, and survive as long as you can
  • Die once = start over, but you can spend earned SP on permanent upgrades
  • Classic pixel-art, Game Boy-like visuals

Your feedback means everything to me — it’s what keeps me going as a creator. Whether it's about translation quality, balance, or just how it feels to play, I’d be grateful for any thoughts you’re willing to share.

And if you find it fun, please consider recommending it to a friend — it would mean the world to me.

Thank you so much for your time!
