Good fun, I loved the 90s style, could easily look like a PC9801 game so props to you :D The story was quite good too I got the Bad Compassion ending and Good Villain endings! Keep it up :)

Developer

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

Well I got the bad ending which left me a bit bummed but that's okay

The rival killing you mid text despite her getting whooped is a little BS not gonna lie but ye whatever

Other than those two things I really liked this; the art & animation is beautiful and the story was quite fun - I particuluarly enjoyed the design of the main character once she transforms, I wasn't expecting the knight armour elements & it looked damn cool(I imagine some of the idea here was to include more traditionally villainous design elements to contrast with the friend character? ). Now that I'm typing that out I imagine the player is kind of playing the "villain" perspective which is why the rival character is so BS but yea being on the other side of plot armour sucks man

This was super well polished and a joy to look at/play through; I'd go for other endings but I'm salty I lost

I enjoyed how the linking timelines add a dimension to this game genre.

The animation of the character portraits looked very polished.

HP not regenerating after battle despite such a long time between said battles story-wise is odd and doesn’t feel intentional(?). Only worth mentioning since it forces a defensive playstyle and curbs experimenting, lest you lose the 2nd battle by starting at half HP.

Developer

Thanks for bringing up that issue with the HP. It wasn't intentional. I'll fix it soon and update the game files.

The issue with the HP was fixed. Again, thanks for bringing it to my attention :)

Pretty fun! I was really surprised to see an rpg battle element in this game. Got to give big kudos to the art, it's amazing you did all that yourself, including the animations. I did laugh when I heard the ace attorney talking sfx in the game though. Other than that, great game!

Developer

Thanks!! I myself can't believe that I was able to finish all the art in time 😅 As you can probably guess, I basically had no life during that month of development.

this was fun! I enjoyed hunting for the endings, managed to get 5 (maybe that's all of them?) I especially enjoyed the typing mechanic, it breaks up the game play a bit, and its very funny to put in names of friends lol. The art style was great too, really hit the nail on the head with the 90s nostalgia. Good job!

Developer

Thanks! Yeah, there are a total of 5 endings.  I think that in future game I should include some sort of scenario chart so the player can keep track of all the endings you can get because a couple of people have told me that they thought it was only one ending per route. I'm also glad you enjoyed the art style :D

I really enjoyed the 90s anime style characters throughout this, and I really love the detail to who the player is, and who the best friend is, depending on whether you pick compassion or power! I didn't manage to find the good ending though :(

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. As for the good ending, to find the code you need to unlock it, pay attention to what your rival says when she's about to finish you off in both routes(and pay also attention to the color of the font when she says it). That'll give you the answer :)
