Yes

What aspects make traditional roguelike design enjoyable?
To me, traditional roguelike design is enjoyable because it establishes a familiar framework to build on, which makes it approachable by players of all levels of gaming literacy, but there's still a lot of scope for designers to explore deep systems with unique mechanics.

Even with the arbitrary boundaries of this event, there's still plenty of unusual and surprising ideas to experiment with, and even serve as inspiration for future games.

A lot of neat ideas and systems, but it doesn't quite work together. I'd love to see this expanded a bit (or I might steal some of this for next year's 7DRL).

This could be a cool Horizon Zero Dawn kind of roguelike! I don't think you get enough scrap back from machines to continue (and melee felt untenable--might need to consider an enemy move preview or something to make melee possible with 1 hp?) but yeah, I see the vision. Did get smacked on crossing a border once, RIP.

Yeah, it’s horribly unbalanced. Getting bapped on entry is unfortunate. My intention was to introduce ways of crafting armor to bolster the 1 HP, and then provide tools for melee (higher risk/reward), but alas. The untapped potential.

Thank you so much for giving it a go!
