Explanation (Optional)
The rope is both the physical challenge and the poetic structure, with knots acting as the verses that guide progression. Climbing becomes a metaphor for persistence and meaning, tying the theme directly into gameplay.
My gravity system got a bit wonky at the end, and climbing the rope will usually lead to reaching the top of the screen. Updates will hopefully fix this problem but the core loop works!

Good use of the theme and very different from the usual submissions. I kinda wish I was able to still see the last line I picked. Reading through all options tend to get all of the options jumbled in my memory. The final poem I had was quite random as a result :D
This is a great idea, something to think about for future iterations. Think about your playthroughs as growth. Each time you create a poem, you'll get better at knowing what lines you want to choose. Hoping in an update, I can add more choices, though it becomes tough to have the poem make as much sense when put together. Maybe different themes. Lots to explore here.
Interesting idea. Would've liked to see a bit more animation in the climbing or maybe seeing the clouds/backdrop move past to emphasise the movement/journey.
These are both totally on the list! I needed to focus on the core gameplay loop over the short time I had working on this by myself. Audio is also up there. Cheers
This is a fun way to experience a poem!
I like the tension in the act of climbing a rope with only the occasional knot to mark progress, with no end in sight. I think the content of the poem tells a different story (of ladders and forking paths) that defuses the tension a bit. Keep us hanging! (Pun intended 😂)
Nice work and congrats!
Very original and cute game :) I love the poetry and the simple mechanic. Fun to play!
Finally fixed the wonkiness, and you can actually play the game in 1.1. Seems like the device crank input was a bit different than just doing thing in pulp.
