Cool to see a racing game, but would have liked to see the monster do some monster things. The steering feels accelerated instead of linear. Nice sound effects :D

Thanks for checking it out! Will update it in the future, first slowly ironing out the steering a lot, then want to add monster abilities.

The theme fits quite loosely but I see the vison big time. Love a good racing game, though the controls are quite sensitive and can be hard to get used to. The balance of SFX levels is a bit off, with some being quite harsh on the ears. AI is very impressive for such a short amount of time. Well done!

Developer

Thanks for trying it out, apologies for the loud sounds.

I had to drop a star for not fitting the theme, and the driving feels like the cart is glued to the camera, impressive for just a day (especially the AI, which can be really tough), but ideally could have been more if maybe it was a 72hour submission.

Developer

Thanks for checking it out, I figured the cart monster should have gotten some love for the textures or it's just a sorta racing game, lol

Those NPCs are clearly better drivers than me. I suppose the driving feels the way it does since it looks like we are riding on ice. I am just confused, how are we the monster?

Developer

I didnt get that far with my limited time, was going to put in monster attacks. Would have helped if I sorted the goblin (sorta) texture, didn't get that far, unfortunately

Impressive that you got computer players driving around well! I think the turning feels a bit loose, seems to continue for a bit after letting go of the button

Developer

Yeah, I spent as much time as I could adjusting the robot racers with slightly different turn speeds and following the race track a bit. Shoulda stopped when I got their first lap circling in and continued with the theme, was having fun with their logic though. The turn I should have made less speed, but just wanted to do my best to hit the 48 hours. Will see what I can do there after work today as I now want to finish this game, lol (less for the game jam, mind you)

Developer (1 edit)

Rarred it to make it smaller (100mb vs current 31mb)
